Tongue planted firmly in cheek. This was a lot of fun. From the opening sly nod to Piorot and Hastings, the puns and repartee just kept on coming. There’s an original (at least I think it’s original) solution to a locked room murder, an impossible art theft, and an apparrent (but not) suicide. Definitely not to be taken seriously, this was easy listening. A good book to relax with. I’ll be looking at the rest of the series.

Sue | 2709 comments I enjoyed this one for the tag this month as well. Great review!

Theresa | 15498 comments I think I'm the one that first found, read and reviewed this here. It was so much fun, and all the sly nods ... I was hooked the second I saw 'defenestred' used as the method of murder in the first sentence. So glad you both ended up like it as much. I too plan to explore the rest of the series.

Thank you for pointing me in the right direction. The next book seems to be set at Christmas so I may save it for the right season.
