Court of Copper One ✨ | 3 comments So someone got me hooked on the ACOTAR series and suggested I read ACOTAR 1, 2&3 then move to the Throne of Glass series, back to books 4&5 from ACOTAR and then read CC.
But now I don’t know for sure if I want to read 8 books from Throne of Glass before finishing the ACOTAR series.
Is TOG worth it or can I read ACOTAR without TOG?

Annabella | 284 comments Throne of glass is really good, and I recommend a break before you read the last ACOTAR, but if you don’t want to wait too long then try reading Throne of Glass, Crown of Midnight, Assassins Blade, then the rest of ACOTAR, then complete throne of glass series, then read crescent city, which has a lot of worldbuilding but I love it so much, probably more than tog.

Alex Winter (alexwinter95) | 1 comments I’ve read all three series and personally don’t recommend jumping between. IMO the best order is all of ACOTAR (I do recommend finishing the series bc she is writing another book for that series so good to know everything), then Throne of Glass (my personal fave SJM series), and THEN Crescent City. I think that’s the best way to do it so you can pick up on different things that you otherwise might not put together! Giving anymore reasons would be a spoiler so just trust!

Maximilian Lalli | 2 comments are they all connected? I want to read ACOTAR but can i just read those for now, or do I have to include CC and TOG?

Liliannah Harris | 1 comments I’m reading TOG now and it’s so so good. I thought the first book was okay, and just wasn’t obsessed with the idea of reading crown of midnight, but I’m so glad I did. It gets so much better

Cassidy | 347 comments @Maximilian they are connected but not so much so that you need to read them all to understand what’s happening! Reading them all just helps you pick up on different things but it’s not necessary.

I would personally finish ACOTAR before switching to TOG or CC. Even though books 4 and 5 are most based on side characters, I still think they’re important to the story and world lol. That’s just me!

Faith-Carmen Le | 1 comments I honestly thought TOG was so amazing that now that I'm reading ACOTAR I'm comparing the two. so maybe read ACOTAR before TOG

Maximilian Lalli | 2 comments @Cassidy Thanks so much! 🫶

Court of Copper One ✨ | 3 comments @Maximilian it is my understanding that you have to read ACOTAR before CC because there will be connections! It doesn’t matter so much for TOG. That’s what I heard at least

Mya Marie (mya_marie) | 21 comments it's definitely worth reading TOG. Such well written books but I don't see the point in jumping between series like that
