The number of books says nothing about one's literacy, judgment, or anything else. You could read two hundred books of poetry with 15 words per page, or picture books for grades 1-3. What if you read really long books? I read the Hild Sequence last month, which together amounted to about 1800 pages--if I read only that, would you think me only partly literate? The numbers game is a scam, a capitalist push for us to buy, buy, buy. Don't fall for it. Find books that make a difference in your life, and let the numbers fall where they may. Happy reading!
