Wnen I add this book to "want to read" list, publication date is "unknown", but the book has the date. I've tried resave book, not results.

Renske | 12220 comments That edition has only the publication date of the edition listed, but the original publication date of the work is missing (the date field at the bottom of the edit page).

Olga Silvertongue (olgasilvertongue) | 6723 comments Thank you! I didn't know that the "want to read" list shows the original publication date.

Mesembryanthemum | 195 comments Yeah, so many editions are missing the original publication date. So most users' shelves (including the "want to read" shelf) can't sort on the publication date. So this is one of many GR bugs. So many, many GR bugs.

Renske | 12220 comments Automatically setting the original publication date has in the past proven to be difficult. So I see it as a lesser bug that nothing is done now than having a system with errors.
