I super enjoyed it but I've found abt mid way through its so stagnant and i don't want to pick it up anymore? Anyone who's read it have any advice? Thanks, no spoilies pls

no, that's an issue with many classics. 1984 is a phenomenal novel, but it is incredibly boring. my opinion, though
Honestly it wasn’t boring when I read it in school because that’s our future in my opinion and I like to know how we gone get screwed over .
i'm reading too and I can't keep up with its slow rythem. Not long ago I read Farenheit 451, a book within the same genre and topic, written not more than 10 years later. This one was absolutely fascinating and intriguing even though it was written in the '50. I would say we finish 1984 and then see
however I think there are another novels of that time that are more accurate with reality and are more worth reading like a 'A Brave World'

thanks everyone, I will finish it. I have enjoyed the book just found it super slow as mentioned. However something I did want to do is read more classics but a price I must pay seems to be self discipline lmao

yeah its really interesting as a novel and in the topics that it covers, but does become VERY tedious to read at parts.. i actually am about 2/3 through it but stopped months ago and wasn’t really motivated to pick it back up. might try again now though lol
yes I am also halfway through reading it and it's too slow. But I want to finish it so I like to read a fun, cozy book alongside it so I don't get too bored
Hate to admit it, but I DNF so many classics for this very reason. I'm just too dramatic for the slow pace
yeah, sometimes if I am bored with a book I basically just force my way through it. although slowly hahah
I just bought it for my kindle might reread it .
There is a part where it's 20 pages of hard core bore (samples of the mystery book) which made me want to throw the book against the wall but after that it progresses, and that's when it will haunt me forever! :D
I think I've just got past it literally like t pages ago, and oml I've NEVER been so bored by a book
