LiteraryCryptid | 60 comments Heartstopper - Teen Romance graphic novel, LGBT,(or really any book by Alice Oseman)
A Psalm for the Wild Built - Sci-fi novella duology, friendship cute
Mooncakes - Teen graphic novel, fantasy, LGBT
If You'll Have Me - Teen graphic novel, LGBT
The Gingerbread Witch - cute adventure, journey of self discovery
Stardust - Fantasy adventure, comedy, romance (from what I remember no spice)
Legends and Lattes - cozy fantasy, found family, romance is not the main plot
Honey Girl - found family, mental health, LGBT romance

These are my favourites that I've read recently that are cute with no spicy scenes.

rea🖤 | 5 comments "Sadie on a Plate" by Amanda Elliot was really good. It was also very empowering. The main storyline is about a struggling, jewish, Chef who is invited onto a cooking competition show, but on her flight there she meets one of the judges. It's mainly about her journey through the competition with only a small portion of the plot focusing on the romance element.

Anna St.John (annastjohn) | 1 comments You might enjoy cozy mysteries. They tend to be clean, with no profanity. This is one of the reasons I chose to write in the cozy genre. See what you think of Doomed by Blooms or Clocked Out.

message 23: by Doris (new)

Doris (dorisb) | 104 comments Diane Duane's "Young Wizard" series. There are 11 books in the series that deal with magical events based on physics, ecology, and other earth sciences. The main protagonists are a boy and a girl, 13 and 14 in the first book (or maybe 12 and 13). The 2nd book in that series is one of my all-time favorites.

Doris (dorisb) | 104 comments Also any of the Aunt Diminity books by Nancy Atherton

message 25: by Bernie4444 (new)

Bernie4444 | 23 comments Lord Love a Duck by Al Hine

This is a simple story of a high school student Alan Musgrave who likes to call himself 'Mollymauk' after a rare bird. He is a master at karate and hypnosis. He usually gets his way and does not bother with what others think he should be like. One day he comes across a self-centered cutie, Barbara Ann Greene. He uses his talents to help her attain what she wants in life as his skills come in handy with her.

I simply use the author's name because one small series became a huge interwined many series. They are all stellar. She is an amazing writer who draws you in, in all ways.

message 33: by Hana (new)

Hana | 58 comments multiple people here have said the Shatter me series, but after I read I found that it has ALOT of spicy scenes and alot of sexual tension. I don't know really know to what extent these scenes went cause I always skipped them all, so you can definitely skip them, except one in the last book that you had to read cause it was intertwined with the plot (but it wasn't that detailed)

message 34: by Hana (new)

Hana | 58 comments There is the Selection series
