🔸Finish Sword Catcher ( can someone please kick my butt to do it? It's so good, I don't want it to end, besides Cassandra Clare will make me suffer)

🔸Post Updates on a different group and on Read-o

🔸Start Silver in The Bone ( and finish it before January ends)❗

Hey Kay-Mika, I love your book nook! I can't wait to see your description. As for inserting images, I learned from this website: https://www.alessandratorreink.com/ho...

Hope it helps! Let me know if you have any questions:)

I just need to finish the Original Shadowhunter series ( City of... ) . Only three more books missing.
I stopped reading Chain of Thorns , because I spoilered myself and as long as I don't finish the book, nothing bad will happen 😅
The only book I really DNF was Queen of Air and Darkness. Sorry, but it was boring to me. And I really can't understand why everyone seems to love Julian and Emma.

Hey Kay-Mika I love your book nook! It looks so pretty and cozy :)

I haven’t read any Cassandra Clare books yet but I’ve been wanting to for so long and I’m really hoping to read some of her series this year 🤞🏼

Oh my goodness, what beautiful pictures! :0

Nice! I've heard that the The Mortal Instrument series is really good- it's been on my to-read for a while. What other books do you enjoy reading? Haha, I get that feeling! I've accidentally spoiled way too many books for myself. I don't think I've heard of either of those books before; what did you not like about Queen of Air & Darkness and Julian & Emma?

You speak German! I just saw that you are in Berlin. That's so cool- how did you learn to speak English so fluently?

Thanks.
I had to learn English in school , it's mandatory to learn another language. Most choose English but some French or whichever other language option your elementary school offers.
And then I feel down the Rabbit Hole called Fanfiction

Besides Fantasy and Romance, I'm trying to read historical fiction and now caved and will read Outlander.

I follow so many people that love Emma and Jules, that it feels like I'm the only one who doesn't like them this much.

Emma and Jules internal monologues can be summed up as: "He/She is my parabatai, so I can't love him/her"
"But yes"
"But no."
But yes"
"But no"
Besides the bad guys kept on winning and winning so the stakes got higher and higher.
Overall the book was boring.

Oo I know someone who absolutely adores Outlander! She has a poster on her home office door and everything. How are you liking it so far?

Hehe! I hope you don't feel too bad about it; sometimes it makes for some very interesting conversation to debate about whether a book is good or bad. People with differing opinions help make life interesting ;)

Ohh that makes sense XD Yeah, I agree- books need to have a good balance between good guys/bad guys winning. What genre is Emma and Jules?

Sorry, for the late reply.
Mind you, I haven’t really thought out the details
So, for the longer Challenges.
1. A Sailor Moon Challenge ( Manga Version) (One book per Sailor Scout and you only have to fulfill one task to complete it)
The books/tasks can be based on the different Sailor scouts
For Example:
Sailor Mercury
1.RAB with a blue cover
2. RAB a non-fiction book
3. RAB a book that start with any letter in Amy Mizuno

Sailor Jupiter
1.RAB with a green covers
2.RAB a romance
3.RAB a book that was published in December

and so on

2. longer challenge
why not base it on Tarot Cards (Just the Major Arcana)
Example:
The Fool
RAB were a character is innocent
RAB were a character is reckless

Task are based on the meaning upright and downside
one book per task and task is fulfilled if you can check one requirement off

For the shorter one
A Book Bingo
(I haven’t figured out when to reset the bingo board, but that is just details)
So, for example
|Blue Cover| over 300 p.| to look at s.t/s.b.|ca/s|
|Title starts with o|Window/s|Romance|Playlist at the beginning
|glass/es|to walk| grey/gray|Takes place in Europe|
|Tree on cover|water|published in March|tall male character

One book = one bingo field, also once a field is claimed it can't be claimed until the board is reset

No problem at all! I really appreciate your response:)

Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with Sailor Scouts, and I'm not comfortable hosting a challenge about tarot cards. However, I do like the idea of prompts based on character archetypes, such as those in Hero's Journey (perhaps we could have a writing component to that as well, where members write part of a short Hero's Journey story for bonus points).

And maybe we can have a challenge based on the solar system- small teams of maybe 2-3, teams Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, etc.

I really like the bingo idea! That's a great idea. I'll sit with that a bit and once I have a more solid idea, I'll bring it up with the other mods. Thank you so, so much for your creative ideas, Kay-Mika! Brainstorming is so much easier with other people:)

Here is the thing: I want to like it. I really do, but...
I like the concept of the story, but I don't think Chloe Welsh is a good writer.
To me it reads like a fanfic that you want to nope out of as fast as you can

Kay Mika I totally agree with you. Her writing style can be very confusing depending on how she writes her books. And Binding 13 Shannon has a very abusive father and most people don’t handle stuff like that well. It’s also a 600 page book so a lot is happening.

I don't mind the +600 pages.
It's just that Shannon has no personality whatsoever.
A what felt like 15 page introduction of her and I don't know anything about her dreams, her hopes, what she wants to do in her future live, her favorite colour, her hobbies. Nothing.
All I learned is, that she is tiny, didn't have her periode yet, that she is tiny and got bullied and she is tiny.
And Johnny? He wants to be a bad boy once he grows up.
Can't take him serious.

I agree with you. From the little bit I have read Johnny was telling other people that she is young still which is true but he was telling everyone on the team that he doesn't want to see anyone dating her..... Obviously he is trying his best to stay away from her but with Johnny's personality and how he does things..... I don't think if they were to pursue a relationship that this would approve with her parents. Obviously she is fragile because she got a concussion when she got hit in the face by the ball.

With this being said.... I have another person who I told would do a buddy read with Binding 13. I am sure if you wanted to give the book another try like both of us girls are going to try to do... I can try and see when she is wanting to start that and if you want to join the buddy read you can.

Who knows... the more people join the more we might be able to get through this book. We can team work and keep each other accountable.
