Book - The Brightest Fell
Author - Seanan McGuire
Date Finished - 2/8/24
Rating - 5 Stars (as usual)
Review - This one was another favorite of mine, although it made be a bit sad. At this point, I think most people would throw the towel in and just give up, but not Toby. She fights harder for her family and friends regardless of what obstacle is thrown in front of her. I think some of her problems would be solved if she could only elf-shoot her mother and knock that bitch out for a century. Luna Torquill is a bit of a shit as well. She's mad at Toby for something that was not her fault. She could use to sleep for a century as well. The Luidaeg has to be one of my most favorite characters. She's snarky and a bad ass. I strive to be a sea witch as well.

I recommend this as a fluffy, Christmas read. Characters fall for each other pretty fast, but it works since that's what this story is supposed to be like.

A pleasant read. More centered around car racing than hockey however. I liked both Liam and Tarcy.

I love that entire series!

Thanks for the picks - I finished

I currently reading your 3rd pick for me

Cathy picked for me:

A Year in the Life of a Playground Mother by Christie Barlow - 2/23/24 ♥♥♥
The Husband's Secret by Liane Moriarty - 2/25/24 ♥♥♥♥♥

Better late than never. I finished my January pick on March 26th.
While this book took me much too long to finish, it was not the book‘s fault. It lived up to the hype for me. I laughed and cried many times. And fueled my female rage a bit. ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I have been in a reading slump for the past couple of months. I steamed through January but then lost my mojo in February. I had surgery in March and thought I‘d be nonstop reading while I was recovering; I didn‘t.
But when I did start back up on this book I blew through it.
