The next book in the Molly Murphy mystery series, this book is again jointly written with the authors daughter. I liked both the setting and the characters, and it was a bit of a different story compared with the previous books, as Daniel has left his job with the police to run for political office on the Tammany Hall ticket, leading to the family to move to a grander house at a better address. I really liked to see that Molly hadn’t changed, and it was to see Bridie playing a larger role in the story. However, by moving to a different house, we saw a lot less of Molly’s friends and neighbours, Syd and Gus. Whilst the mystery wasn’t as exciting as in some of the earlier books and I worked out who was behind it quite quickly, it was still an enjoyable read.
