Divine Rivals is there a cliff ??

So I went book shopping but I’m supposed to be on a ban. 😅 So I only got one book. But I was deciding between Ruthless Vows and Iron Flame, because I have Divine Rivals and Fourth Wing and I plan to read them soon. I chose Iron Flame but now I’m worried. Is the ending of Divine Rivals a major cliffhanger? Like do I need the second book on hand before I even start reading it??
