First Lie Wins
question
What do you think of the ending?
The ending was a little too pat, implying "troubled girl lives happily ever after" with supportive man who was lying to her all along.
I agree with Keeya felt a little rushed but enjoyed the book overall
I thought the suspense and pacing for the book was phenomenal until the ending. It was cool how everything came together but the ending definitely did not feel like it was given the same time and care as the rest of the novel. Maybe it was kept vague to set up for a sequel, but at the very least it could have been not shortened to like 5 pages.
I felt the ending fell flat- maybe a second book would fix that.
I think the only completely unbelievable fact is the end. Sure the actual Mr. Smith could be out of the picture-- "handled"-- but for Evie to have become Smith seems improbable as Smith probably has a large interconnected team who Evie would need to convince she's the new boss.
i was really not expecting that..it wasn`t the biggest plot twist, but it was a beautiful book that i really enjoyed.
I really enjoyed the book but thought the ending unrealistic. For a lifetime the character had longed for a life that wasn't in hiding.
I liked the ending. The story came full circle, and vengeance was served, as well as restitution.
