Amber | 758 comments worldcat says 323 pages, not sure if that was just a typo on your end but I've updated the page to reflect the information from worldcat

https://search.worldcat.org/title/717...
If you feel this is still inaccurate please clarify the discrepancy.

This may take up to 15 minutes to update. Please update your thread title to indicate {done} or [complete] to help librarians navigate open requests more easily

Joey | 3 comments Hi, thanks so much for writing. The book definitely has 232 pages, even including index, bibliography, etc. I have the saint mary’s press edition, ISBN 978-0-88489-968-6

Amber | 758 comments as a **very** new librarian I am never sure what to do in these instances (I've had a few) where the book in hand has a significant difference in pages. I'm going to ask some of the more experienced librarians to chime in and help me sort this one out. Thanks for your patience Joey!

Hi Joey & Amber

Looking at the changelog, this book did have a page count of 232 which was removed in 2012, so I have reverted that.

A member with a copy in hand trumps everything - even World Cat. It is possible that the person who imputed the info on World Cat transposed some figures.

However (you can let your eyes glaze over with boredom for this if you want, Joey) sometimes books by blockbuster authors have really different page counts. I am reluctant to change now because I think publishers reuse ISBNs even if one edition is mass market paperback & one is what I call airport fiction size.

Hope this is clear Amber. & you have done an amazing job cleaning up the page count back log.

Anyway, back on subject. Please allow 20 minutes for the changes to display (much) longer if you are using the app.

& to help volunteer librarians could you add [done] or similar to the title of the thread. This is only possible in the desktop view.
