Week 21: a book your parent loves
(the original challenge is "a book your mom loves" but feel free to widen the relatives if you need)
May 21 - May 27, 2015

This will be the ugly week. It will be painful, you'll suffer, water will come from your eyes because you're reading something horrible. But maybe you're a lucky one and you were given a good recommendation. Maybe too, your parent has good tastes in books or likes the same genres as you.
Tell us all about your suffering or pleasure this week!

How to Create a Topic:
1. Create a topic in the appropriate folder using your book's author and title (Title by Author, please). Link your book with the "This topic is about" feature.

2. In the body of your post, comment about why you chose this book. Have you read it before? What are your expectations?

3. Feel free to use the thread as a way to update the group on your progress. Also, when you are finished reading, add a small review and your thoughts about the week's challenge.

4. Comment on everyone else's posts as well! Participation and group involvement will make this challenge so much fun!

**If you chose the same book as another group member for the same week, do not create a duplicate thread.**

No suggestions, but if you can't have a recommendation by a parent for this week, ask here, someone will be glad to share a book with you :)

Francesca | 391 comments I wasn't so lucky, my Mum's favourite book is 'The Promise' by Danielle Steele as my Mum likes romance books and it's my least favourite genre. I read the book and luckily it wasn't that bad and it was a very quick read but I still didn't enjoy it very much!

Sophie (sawphie) The book I'm reading, The Saturday Big Tent Wedding Party, is exactly the same. Not bad, but not the kind of book that I like to read, so I don't enjoy it as much as my mum. Thankfully, it is short, so I can soon start my next book, The Shining.
