Christine Mathieu | 948 comments I will reread Maria Riva's autobiography on her mother Marlene Dietrich (900+ pages) followed by André Brunelin's biography on Jean Gabin who was Dietrich's lover for several years before, during and after WW II.
Thanks to our public library we were able to watch the Marlene Dietrich Doku "Her Own Song" yesterday and it was absolutely great!

I've read the Maria Riva book in 1993 for the first time on a motorcycle trip from Northern Germany all the way down to the Mediterranean isle of Corsica.

Jessie | 5 comments There are SO MANY books I want to read this year it's not even funny. I am currently in my Greek Mythology phase so that would include books like the Dark Olympus Series (that I have heard AMAZING things about), annotating Song Of Achilles and Circe, Stone Blind, Ariadne and last (but not least) the Lore Olympus series. So yea, we have a lot to get through this winter and spring, but I am excited

Elvira Bergquist | 28 comments I’m gonna “reread” the first hunger games book, since I listened to it in December. I got the physical copy as a Christmas present though, so I wanna reread it before I continue on to catching fire.

I have about 400 childhood books collected since 2003 via amazon dot de that I enjoyed when I was young. I plane to read them all in 2025.

message 60: by Christine (new)

Christine Mathieu | 948 comments So very few interesting books published over the past 20+ years. I'm awfully glad that I immigrated with 1.500 hardcover books 22 years ago. I keep rereading them until the publishing houses change to more appealing novels again at some point.
