Adding book to series, can't get it to save - glitch or something wrong w/my account?

I was adding books to the Rogue Angel series by Alex Archer and noticed an error with one of the books.

The cover, pub date and ISBNs were for 1 book (book #56), but someone (or a bot?) incorrectly titled it and gave it the wrong summary (the one for #57) as well as merging it with 2 editions of #57. I edited the book (#56) to the correct title and summary and split it from the 2 editions of book #57 that it was linked to.

Book 56: The Mortality Principle
Book 57: Mystic Warrior

I then waited some time, because I know if can take time for book changes to be reflected in the database. After some time, I went to the Rogue Angel series, searched for #57 to add to the list and added and numbered it, pressing save.

But it doesn't save. And when it goes to the page after I press save, it never shows up. I've tried it many times.

I thought it might be because the database still thought they were merged and 1 edition, but it's been some time since I split them and they now show up as separate in the search when I search their titles.

So, I'm not sure what's going on here?

If anyone can add Mystic Warrior to the Rogue Angel series as #57 that'd be great!
Edit: #56 The Mortality Principle also now needs to be added to the series.

It's occuring with me and another series as well. Does anyone know what's going on here?

It goes through the process just fine, like the above book (post 1), but after pressing save, it doesn't save and doesn't show the book I've added.

Can anyone also add that book to that series along with the book/series listed above in my first post? Thanks!

Does anyone have an idea what's going on?

I was able to create and add books to a new series, but it seems I can't add books to existing series? This only seemed to start a few hours ago. Is there something wrong with my account or permissions or is there some software issues going on?

I had the idea removing 56 (since 56 and 57 were combined in 56) and adding 56 and 57 might work. I'm afraid it only got worse, because 56 and 57 now both do not show up after adding them.

Oh! So it's not just me? The same thing happens to you?

Well, that's good to know, in a way. I thought it was just me (like permissions removed?), but as far as I know, I haven't gotten into trouble and haven't been warned or contacted by anyone over anything I've done. So, it left me confused.

This sounds like some software issue then?

I'd say its got something to do with the maintenance they did on Wednesday. There are quite a few different bugs coming up on the Feedback group.

And yes I'm having the same problem, corrections to series aren't saving.

lethe, could I suggest that you add "Librarians" to the title of your thread so they know it's not just an author trying to do this again?

Same problem. Created a series a couple of days ago. Tried to add the third book both yesterday and today. Does not work.

Oh, very funny, I have added like a few dozens of books to various series before I realized the bug...

Just ran across this issue -- it's not just adding books to the series -- it's any edits at all, adding numbering, removing books, deleting a series. You can only create.

Had this issue a couple of days ago, but noticed the edits I did to a series were present some hours later. But now I got the same issue: editing an existing series isn't working.

I just checked and I can edit series again, so it might be fixed.

I just tried to fix a series and it worked for me as well.

So it appears to be fixed?
