what’s a book that you’ll never get over?
ACOTAR series and Crescent City. I haven't finished the 2nd Crescent City book yet and I am just waiting for the third one to come out but I feel lost without both of these series its just like wow. They are so good, I will never get over them.
Dance of Thieves. I think about this duology all the time
i'm still reading it, but i know for sure that the shatter me series will never leave my mind.
The Dog Stars by Peter Heller. I have a special place in my heart for Jasper the dog!
I just read Fourth Wing and Iron Flame over 1000 pages in the last week, and it absolutely consumes me... im not sure how to move forward and start a new book lol.

One that springs to mind is the picture of Dorian Gray I read it last year and it haunts me still

Mines a tie between the Haunting and Hunting Adeline series and If He Had Been With Me. All of them stole my heart.
There are the ones I will never get over because they make me so very, very angry (e.g. The Murder of Roger Ackroyd and Atonement), and there are the ones I will never get over because I felt like the author, this stranger I've never met, understood my life and what I was going through (e.g. The Sun also Rises).
A Litte Life. The characters still once in a while pop in my head after two years of reading it.

Hollow by Brian Catling left me with such a distinct hunger for any other book remotely like it. Nothing has come close so far. Though that world/story is brutal, I feel a melancholic longing for it that is difficult to place.
The Ballad Of Songbirds And Snakes.I KNOW that most people are always “oh, but the first main 3 are good”, yes, okay, they’re great. But TBOSAS just hit SO MUCH differently. Theres something about that book I just cant ever forget.

what's funny is that i read THG before Mockingjay Part 2 came out but i never read TBOSAS. the movie was spectacular tho holy shittt
i will never stop saying this, but the whole saga of The Cemetery of Forgotten Books, especially the first one, The Shadow of the Wind, everyone who loves books MUST read this.
The Throne of Glass series and how absolutely amazing it was until the last book trashed everything and it feels worse than any breakup or loss.

MAUS by Art Spiegelman. It is a graphic novel that I believe should be taught in schools. Everyone should read it at least once in their life. It is a book that emotionally wrecked me, and I read it annually.

Yess, that book was so good. The whole series is fantastic. That's the book they turned me into a fast reader :)
