23% (chapter 4) (view spoiler)[I like the writing style. Not sure what to make of the characters. I guess the Time Traveler is known to mess with people. They all seem to think he's tricking them somehow. His story about traveling through time is interesting.<\spoiler> (hide spoiler)]

54% (view spoiler)[This reminds me of Gulliver's Travels. It has that same kind of feel as some of those adventures, though I've only read portions of that. Weena is an interesting little person. This seems like a commentary on the structures of society to me. An odd but interesting little tale.<\spoiler> (hide spoiler)]

Just finished. (view spoiler)[I really enjoyed this. I think there was a lot of social commentary mixed in with the adventures the Time Traveler had. It reminded me so much of Gulliver's Travels. And the end was great. It left so much open for interpretation. Such an interesting read.<\spoiler> (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 9: (view spoiler)[I'm one of those people who just love exploring musuems. I just can't resist the urge. But the time traveller's description of a museum makes me want to never set a foot inside a museum again. (Which is saying a looooooot!)

Btw does this guy really consider himself a scientist? An inventor? 'Coz I don't think he has common sense. I know everyone can make mistakes every now and then, but what he did was a biiiiiiiig blunder! Lemme explain:
1. For all he knew, there could be a hundred morlocks in the forest. He and Weena were only two people. He was clearly outnumbered.
2. All he had was a matchbox, camphor and a sorry excuse for a weapon. How can he possibly think of fighting morlocks like this?

Ending thoughts: (view spoiler)[If I hadn't had to prepare a school project on this book, I would never have read it. And trust me, I don't even feel guilty about saying that. Perhaps this book had some great underlying philosophical message which I totally missed. Or perhaps it's just the bullshit I think it is. I choose to go with the latter, anyway.
