Lucy | 131 comments i really want to find some books that are written for everyone. like, either they don’t have an age range or they’re adult but can be read by kids, if that makes sense? just sort of good stories that are well written and not inappropriate, sort of like House In the Cerulean Sea :)

Sandra ꨄ︎ | 24 comments I think they both die in the end by Adam Silvera might be good for you. I do remember there is a part where a gun is pulled out but other than that it doesn't really have anything inappropriate.

Bella(✨❤️Hopeful Romantic❤️✨) | 251 comments Unfortunately, that’s hard to find. Good luck tho!

Smiley (smileytricey) | 5 comments Harry Potter or The Hunger Games come to mind for me

Bella(✨❤️Hopeful Romantic❤️✨) | 251 comments Harry Potter would be ok and anybody who’s seen my reviews or comments before would know I LOVE the Hunger Games. However it is quite violent(for some people) and I wouldn’t recommend it for younger kids(elementary age).

Lucy | 131 comments unfortunately i’ve read HP and am currently working through hunger games, but i appreciate the suggestions :)

han (hanhantap) | 14 comments Some books I read as a kid that I have since re-read as an adult may work. My main two books would be Chronicles of Narnia and Warrior Cats. Chronicles of Narnia is more YA while Warrior Cats is middle grade but both are extended series with great characters and plot progression.

Michael Bertrand | 86 comments The Neverending Story by Michael Ende. Half of it was made into the 80s movie we all know and love, but the book is very much written for all ages.

Sophie | 116 comments Harry Potter, The Hunger Games, Lord Of The Rings, The Hobbit, and Percy Jackson come to mind!

Sarah Lehman (sdelgado8404) | 116 comments If you like The Hunger Games, Divergent might be good also

message 13: by Michael (new)

Michael Bertrand | 86 comments You might also try the Chronicles of Prydain by Lloyd Alexander. They're written to older youths, but still very readable by adults.

Michael Bertrand | 86 comments Last but not least: Susan Cooper's Dark is Rising series.

message 15: by Serena (new)

Serena Yoder | 6 comments Grandmother Oma is a lovely book as well as The Little Prince. All ages!

message 16: by Christine (new)

Christine Mathieu | 948 comments Enid Blyton's Adventure series starting with "The Island of Adventure".
Enid Blyton's famous Five series starting with "Five on a Treasure Island".
Norman Dale wrote two suspenseful series for kids/young adults.
Definitely a lot better than Nancy Drew, Harry Potter, Anne of Green Gables and Little Women.

message 18: by Vanessa (new)

Vanessa (vanessacumberlandcountypa) A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L' Engle comes to mind.

message 19: by Pete (new)

Pete Carroll | 4 comments I’d recommend The Chronicles of Prydain. It’s a fantasy series based on old welsh fairytales.

There’s even a seldom talked about Disney animated movie based on the second book.

message 20: by Laureen (new)

Laureen | 19 comments His Dark Materials-3 book series by Phillip Pullman also The Old Kingdom series by Garth Nix I’m not sure how many books are in the series at least 4. Anything by Garth Nix is fantastic, mostly Y.A. He also has some kids books grade school aged The Keys to the Kingdom-seven of those the titles correspond with the days of the week. Charlie N. Holmberg also has some great books that fit your criteria, I have read quite a few of hers and have enjoyed them all. I hope this helps. Enjoy these books they are wonderful.
