Hi, I'm new here and would like to introduce myself. I'm a wife of twenty-five years, mother of three, reader, daydreamer, and author of the YA fantasy/supernatural/romance series, The Unaltered.

When I first uploaded book one, A DIAMOND IN MY POCKET, back in 2011, I wondered if my clean young adult fantasy would be able to find a place on the regular market, as the book isn't Christian themed.

So many of the YA books I've read are loaded with sex, swearing, drugs, underage drinking, violence, and overall promiscuous behavior. I decided to write my books with the intention to be exciting stories that teach valuable life lessons and make kids excited about reading. I enjoy writing about moral dilemmas and addressing issues that aren't simply good or evil. More than anything, I enjoy writing about a smart, courageous, independent teen girl who isn't dependent on a guy for her happiness.

Book one, A DIAMOND IN MY POCKET, is a #1 Amazon Bestseller in six countries. The book has had over 225,000 downloads from thirty-nine countries via iBooks and now the series is being optioned for film. (Yea!)

I hope you'll check out my novel and let me know what you think. Does it qualify as a clean read? Is this a book you'd recommend to a teen?
