Emily Anderson (milleb) | 2 comments When I was young I would go into a bookstore and not know a single book on the shelfs and just pick whatever spoke most to me. Now I go into a bookstore and already know 80% and what the story+ending is thanks to book communities on tiktok and instagram. It's just not as fun

Christine Mathieu | 948 comments I have ca. 20 favorite authors like Nelson DeMille, Barbara Erskine, Douglas Kennedy, Linwood Barclay, Charlotte Link etc and wait for their new books to be released.

In-between I either reread my own 1.500+ books or I find the occasional new book at our public library, sometimes here on Goodreads.com.

Susanne | 102 comments I have folders on kindle and Google Books of books I've got that really appealed to me at the time (I subscribe to several newsletters that offer free books legally!). I decide what genre I'm in the mood for and scroll through those folders first. Sometimes it's a case of finally getting a new release I've been waiting for and that'll jump to the head of the queue. or it'll be a recommendation I've seen somewhere. I don't really have a system as such, it just depends on my mood!

Mckinley | 1 comments I have multiple books on my bookshelf I haven’t read, yet. I pick three or four I’m most interested in reading next, and ask my husband to pick one!
I have a hard time making decisions, and I love surprises. I might would suggest letting someone pick from a preselected list for you!
