Ismail | 11 comments Whenever I read, I try to sit upright but almost always end up horizontal. I lie on a couch or the bed, and I find myself holding the worst posture ever. It helps me read better but I always feel that there's a better posture for this, something that would make reading more comfortable and natural. I don't know, is it the same for you guys? Got any suggestions?

Emily Anderson (milleb) | 2 comments I've never giving that a thought. But now that I'm thinking about it, I tend to see people lie down while reading and it has always seemed weird to me. I cannot read if I dont sit up straight xD It's just to uncomfy, but it does seem to be the prefered way.
Only lie down if I'm listing to an audiobook

Susanne | 102 comments I can't read lying down. If I lie on my back I just end up dozing off until the book hits me in the face! I always sit up but I'll curl up or slouch in an armchair if I don't feel like sitting properly.

BookSafety Reviews (booksafety) I wanna get one of those massive body pillows that wraps around your back. Would be perfect for reading, lol.

Shawna Finnigan (sugoishawn) | 120 comments I only read while sitting up and I'm never comfortable while reading. I have this issue with shadows on my books while I'm reading. It just really bugs me and I've found that there's less shadows on my books when I'm sitting up

Sam | 45 comments I cannot concentrate enough when I sit and read specifically on a chair lmao, so I’m mostly laying or half sitting on my bed if that makes sense

Christine Mathieu | 948 comments During the day I read sitting upright on my chaise longue or rocking chair and put the heavy pillow/cushion on my lap, so the book is closer to my eyes as I can't have reading glasses.

At night in bed I read laying on either side.
I used to spend hours reading laying on my stomach, but since my back surgery in 2007 I am no longer allowed to read that way. :(

Diane Yes I can...I normally put a "V" shaped pillow behind me for back support, which is really comfy.😘
