Beeks | 2 comments Definitely recommend Gideon the ninth (plus the locked tomb trilogy) It’s a mix of both Sci-fi and fantasy! But I will warn you, while the main character is 100% canonically a lesbian,,, there is VERY little actual physical romance in this whole series.

Mallory | 2 comments Heavier on the sci-fi + existential horror and lighter on the romance, but it does take place in a universe where earth has been destroyed by an alien race so you might like it— Some Desperate Glory by Emily Tesh.
