This is not a book that I am currently reading, but I have finished this book this morning.

. Finished 01-10-24. 1 star. Hero/Luke and heroine/Claire met in a foster care group home. Hero owns a security company with his 3 adopted brothers. Adoptive parents: Clinton, Black father and Shelia, Latina mother, who couldn’t have children of their own. All the brothers are from a different race. Luke is White, Chance is Hispanic, Weston is Black and Brax is Biracial: Half White and Half Black.

I have written a long spoiler review. I didn’t see chemistry between the hero and heroine.

finished 1-23-24. 1 star. I’ve written a long spoiler. This is book 1 of a brother series. I do not care to read any of the other books.

This was my first Harlan Coben book. It’s book number 5 in Myron Bolitar’s series. There’s 12 books. Well, the 12th one is coming out soon. This book gets 1 star from me.

I had bought the book at the library, because the back of the book’s description noted that the hero and heroine were different races. BWWM (Biracial woman and Jewish man)

Myron Bolitar is a sport agent and Brenda Slaughter is a basketball player. She’s 25 years old and he’s 35 years old. Her father was Myron’s mentor.

This book is a mystery book. Not a romance mystery book. Spoiler will be in my review.

I liked Myron. He was a nerd to me. He had a dangerous bad boy friend named Windsor, Win for short. He reminded me of Doc Holliday from Tombstone. Val Kilmer’s version of Doc Holliday.

. This was my first Hallmark book. I didn’t know that Hallmark had a book line. I don’t care for Hallmark romance movies and this book is a Hallmark movie in book form. This is a bwwm interracial story. I have given it 1 star. The heroine, Althea is annoying and she and Jack didn’t have any chemistry.

. Finished today, 03-06-24. 1 star. The heroine is biracial. I’m shocked that the author did not refer to her as being black. This was the first book that I’ve read where heroine is referred to as biracial, which that’s correct way to say what the person is no matter their skin color. Some biracial - half black and half white children come out looking mixed, some come out looking like a person from the white race and some come out looking like a person from the black race.

The models on the cover doesn’t match hero and heroine. For example, hero is said to have a military hair cut and the model on the cover doesn’t.
