1. Pregnancy 2. Long chapters
3. Stickers on covers
4. Rated R content in YA books
5. I also kinda don't enjoy slow burn romance
- Feel free to add me as a friend! -
1. when authors give unnecessary details of characters, rooms, etc.2. when the politics (specifically in fantasy novels) don't make sense
3. when the spines in a book series don't match
4. the cheating trope
5. insta love
1st person, unless I enjoy the story.Real people on covers.
Young MCs (18-20)
Too many tropes crammed into one book.
Pregnancy.
Stickers.
No world building.
love at first sight, long chapters, real people on covers, 3rd person, characters acting way too old/young for their age
real people on coverwhen the character lies abt everything for no reason and then ppl obviously find out
books written in 3rd person
real people on cover, written in 3rd person, sticker on front that you cannot get off, too many tropes, long chapters, cheating, slow burn, the spines in series dont match, and young MC (17-20)
1) long chapters2) ugly covers
3) “technically not related” trope or whatever you call it, it’s disgusting
4) too many pop culture references, i prefer not at all but over one or two is too many
5) no diversity whether it be in ethnicity, race or personality i don’t want to read bland characters that all sound and look the exact same
Only male povpeople on covers
when you get back from the bookshop and somehow the book is already dog-eared
Written in third person is so icky to me I feel like the story never flows and I have to reread parts.Stickers on the cover that you can’t move are so irritating.
‣ printed on 'stickers' to the cover‣ real people on covers (with few exceptions)
‣ when the writing assumes the reader is inept at understanding character motives, plot points, etc. and spoon feeds it to you incessantly
**Colleen Hoover's obsession with borderline incest** Stickers that can't be removed.
Cheating trope
Miscommunication trope
Pregnancy trope
Slowburn romance that lasts 3 books before they even kiss
Poorly written spice, especially when it is the entirety of the book
Books that promise a thrilling, action-packed plot but falls flat due to repetitive day-to-day life subplot.
Books with religion as the motivation.
Books that have insufferable characters but a good plot. 💔
To name a few.
people on covers, age gap (like MAN/WOMAN with 17-20 years old MC), incest or step trope (stepbrother/sister/father), and too obsession (stalking, kindaping, make their love have Stockholm Syndrome)
-overly long chapters that you just dread reading-people on covers or indiscreet covers
-too much smut where there is no plot & you are just annoyed of it
-FMC’s that are push overs and just let everyone walk all over them
-age gaps (if the girl is freshly 18 and the guy is 30😐)
-cheating (I won’t accept it in real life, I won’t accept it in books)
non removable stickers, wavy pages, novels in series not the same height, stiff spine, people on covers, i would say age gap but acotar proved that wrong :p
Covers with guys with abs/any real people covers reallyPregnancy (unless it’s in the epilogue)
When the character is talking to themselves
Or when they’re describing themselves
Misunderstandings
When side characters react to the MC’s behaviour (“she’s doing the look again, isn’t she” or “oh no” before they even do anything, smh)
Too much smut
Growling?
MC having an epiphany (“I ignited from my pain and now I’m the universe and I will burn the world” or smt like that)
1) People on covers (especially shirtless men and women in lingerie) 2) Children in Books
3) Bully Romances, Teacher X Student
4) When there is a huge age gap
5) PREGNANCY UGH
1. mafia2. broken English (mostly used in mafia books)
3. pregnancy
4. epilogues with pregnancy/marriage
5. miscommunication followed by storming off with no chnace of explanation
6. People eavesdropping and leaving before the conversation is over (where ofc they miss important shit)
7. smoking & heavy drinking/getting wasted/alcoholism
miscommunication, abuse, yk the basics but with the WRITING I absolutely hate typos and grammatical errors. Like girl, you have an editor for a reason PLEASE DOUBLE CHECK YOUR BOOK BEFORE PUBLISHIG
tiktok slang, pregnancy, plot happening way too slow, but also plot happening way too fast if that makes sense?
Books that aren't floppyDesperate girls *cough* Belly
Fake stickers on covers
Controlling guys
I'm NoT LiKe OtHeR giRLs - the girl who reads dynamic which is SO overused
unplanned pregnancy
Song lyrics
Miscommunication - finny and autumn oil
people on covers, especially *those* kind of romance covers I swear I only see Facebook moms reading
relationships that are literally only based on smut with no character development or dialogue
cringe communication (stephan GROWLED at me and his EYES WENT DARK)
cringe lines - *we've reached the shore...
huge age gaps
Ok honestly the one bed trope is so overused and nonrealistic
lastly, long chapters
1. when men growl, like do you belong in a zoo?2. “touch her and ill kill you” trope in small towns, like no john you wont kill her because probably the men that “touched her” is her cousin 💀
3. miscommunication between two grown adults in romance books
4. third act breakups for stupid reasons
5. when the fmc is a virgin and thats her whole entire personality and its mentioned a hundred times during the book
1. when authors give unnecessary details of characters, rooms, etc.2. when the politics (specifically in fantasy novels) don't make sense
3. when the spines in a book series don't match
4. real people front cover
5. really bad written sm.g
6. when the storie is having to many lose ends
When the main Character is "Quirky" and that's why people fall in love with them. Like, "I noticed how different you were from all the girls in this town." Like okay bud...........
when the main character has NO PERSONALITY, real people on the cover and when there's smut for like no reason... books that young teens are reading don't need hardcore smut

1. typos2. cheesy romance (love at first sight + when characters are written to be antagonistic, but you know they're going to fall in love)
3. endings that don't make sense
4. really small font
5. unnecessary sex scenes
6. women who need to be saved or ignore red flags
7. predictable storylines
8. women fighting over a man
9. pointless detail or dragging on
When everything in the book is leading up to something incredible, but the author takes the easy way out … it was an alien! Stephen King, I’m looking at you. Lol
