When Gonzo and Christina meet with Andy, Nick’s friend and family law attorney, they learn getting custody of his son will be an expensive process. However, Christina confesses that she’s wealthy and will fund it. Your thoughts?

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2953 comments Christina was full of surprises in this book. I didn't peg her as a Trust Fund Brat although looking back I can see it now.

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1203 comments I did not see Christina in that way, but I was just amazed that she turned herself around.

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments I was surprised that Christina was wealthy. It also surprised me that she would step forward and fund the custody battle.

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 1803 comments Yes, this was surprising. We are learning more about the secondary characters with each book and I enjoy this aspect of the series.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2953 comments I agree, Lauren. Filling out the secondary characters is a great way to enliven the series.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3474 comments I wasn't surprised that she was wealthy. Most people in her position have money. They need to dress and live in a way to compliment their senator.

I was surprised that Christina offered money to Gonzo with no strings attached. She surprised me too.

Her being wealthy took me by surprise because I didn’t get that whiff. It must be considerable because she didn’t blink at the money. Considering Christina was living off of her salary alone, it didn't surprise me that she made the offer. Just more evidence of her deep feelings for Gonzo.

The thing I love about this series is how the secondary characters are so fully fleshed out, each with their own issues, lives and concerns.
