This book was fine, but full of so many tropes: Odd couple, road trip, elderly curmudgeon with a secret past, young person who turns her life around, and the hot young guy (almost) next door. There were a couple of twists I didn't see coming, but overall it was predictable. Nothing wrong with it, but nothing really memorable either.
