Book starts out with a family going to meet all together. Main character is late and so she’s not at the house when tragedy kills the whole family. (I think a landslide) She shuts down her life and moves to a town they used to go to for vacation when she was young. (Pacific Northwest maybe) She rents a house and becomes very hermit like. Then there is a man that somehow they connect & fall in love. He has a lot of issues with his father but in the end they work all everything go out. I read it about 5 years ago or less.
