Two author names and a series of other problems

Hi,

I have two author names - W.C. Ryan and William Ryan. The two names were linked at one stage but seem to have become detached and it would be great if they could be put back together or of someone could tell me how to link them.

In addition, I have various books that need to be merged with existing titles:
