This sounds like a fascinating book. How was it?
Juli

Rather good! It tended to focus a lot of attention on dogs, the more common pet in the era, but gave sufficient treatment of cats, monkeys, and other pets. Very thorough in considering the aspects of pet ownership in medieval Europe.
