Miranda Perez (mandaperez) Usually I am reading something spicy, but I am in a bit of an emotional state at the moment. Does anyone have a rec that will just break me. The last book that completely broke me was "if only he had been with me" by Laura Nowlin. I am waiting for the duet, but feb 6 is too long for me. I need something sooner than that...

Reminders of Him if you're a CoHo fan, but I know not everyone is hahah
I've also heard that A Thousand Boy Kisses is pretty emotional, and You've Reached Sam, though I haven't read them yet myself

Eilidh Ruthven | 3 comments Another vote for Song of Achilles! I also recommend Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow to anyone and everyone. It’s a longer read, but we’ll worth it IMO ☺️.

If you want a super emotionally devastating memoir this would be it. I started to read it and had to take a break because I couldn’t stop crying. I have made it a goal to revisit this book this year. The writing is super beautiful though, I highly recommend this book! :)

Shannon Marilyn | 3 comments Trapped by Rosie Lewis. Honestly there's a TW for child abuse but it's so beautifully written and a true story. I cried my eyes out and had my heart ripped to shreds. Such a beautiful book.

candycorn | 40 comments a little life by Hanya Yanagihara (there are a lot of triggers in this book so search them up) will rip your heart to pieces and right when you think it's gonna get better it rips it again

Sarah J | 8 comments archer's voice broke me. and seven days in june, I don't want to say that book was heartbreaking but it was more of the i finished the book, closed it, and then just sat in bed hugging the book to my chest and quietly cried

BeautifulMe (beautifulme616) | 9 comments Just read anything by Khaled Hosseini his books are usually heart wrenching. You could also read a little life by Hanya Yanagihara and Adam Slivera's books.

Deszarae Barnette | 1 comments “If He Had Been With Me” had me an emotional wreck! I listened to the audiobook in the car and was crying so bad lol.

I've just read both of them, and they wrecked me!

message 22: by abbey (new)

abbey | 5 comments The year I didn’t eat. I read it in like 3 days and it was so good. I felt like crying after every chapter and it was such a good story. Some people may say the main character sucks but for me who has struggled w what the main character struggled with, I liked it a lot !!
