Hey you wonderful lot!!!

So my goal for 24 is 40 books! Possibly a tad ambitious but hey I will go for it...

Just finished 'The It Girl' did not rate at all (if you follow me on IG you will know it was a struggle). Now I am moving onto 'The Seven Husbands Of Evelyn Hugo' which has had some mass raves in my Dm's!

Introduce yourself as many of you probably know me and I don't know you 😂 and what are you all reading right now or planning to read next?

message 2: by Kristina (new)

Kristina Briffa | 1 comments The seven husbands of Evelyn Hugo is one of my favourite books of all time! I’m planning on starting ‘10 things that never happened’ today which will be my first book of 2024 ❤️

message 5: by Melissa (new)

Melissa Rae | 1 comments Hey! I’m reading another time, another place by Jo Lovett. I started it as a kinda filler when I wasn’t sure what to read next. It’s an ok read, not the best but also not the worst x

message 10: by Shannon (new)

Shannon Heale | 1 comments Love The Seven Husbands, that was one of my favourite reads for 2023 ❤️ I’ve set myself a reading goal of 20books for 2024 anything more is a bonus 🫶🏼

I am currently reading, as in only just started, Meredith Alone by Claire Alexander. Not heard anything about it before but it has good ratings on Goodreads!

I just love knowing what people are reading and what different genres everyone delves into 📖

message 11: by Charlie (new)

Charlie | 1 comments Hey! 👋🏻 I set my goal to 30 this year I had it at 50 last year and done 24 I think? So think I was being a tad ambitious there with a newborn 😂 so thought I’d go more realistic this year and make it 30! I actually read a physical book and my kindle at the same time 😂 so I’m reading Holly Jackson As good as dead as a physical and Beth O’Leary the wake up call on my kindle!

message 12: by Marie (new)

message 17: by Gem (new)

Gem Lewis | 1 comments Hi :) I loved The 7 Husband's of Evelyn Hugo as well. I read it a couple of years ago and it got me out of the biggest reading slump of my life! I'm currently reading The Idea of You by Robinne Lee and have set myself a target of 100 books in 2024 (this is the 2nd year I've set it this high but I have the biggest physical TBR and I have to start getting through it before my husband disowns me for buying more bookshelves for unread books!)

message 18: by Lauren (new)

Lauren Sparks (thickthighs_no_lies) Hi 👋🏽 I’m just starting So Let Them Burn by Kamilah Cole ☺️ I also just got the proof copy of Erin Kelly’s next book House of Mirrors which releases in April so keep your eyes peeled for that one Grace or maybe preorder if you like the sound of it 😁

message 19: by Meg (new)

Meg U | 1 comments Hey hey, I'm Meg 🥰 Last year was my first 'proper' delve into books as I'd always read them every now and again but towards the end of last year I got hooked (Fourth Wing's fault). I've set my goal for 2024 to 35 books, last year I did 20 so we shall see, although I'm in my fantasy era atm so will hopefully smash the goal! My current read is One Dark Window by Rachel Gillig, and my next read after that is going to be the final book in the ACOTAR series as I'm hooked!

message 20: by Stacey (new)

Stacey Bell | 1 comments Hey, I’m Stacey. I’ve set myself a target of 100 books for the year. A tad ambitious maybe but I’ll probably fly through 15 of these during my summer hol in Greece! I’m currently reading ‘All The Light We Cannot See’ which I’m really enjoying. Another Evelyn Hugo fan here. In fact, I’m obsessed with most things Taylor Jenkins Reid has written x

message 21: by Rachael (new)

Rachael Brown | 10 comments Hey, decided to hold off on The ‘It’ girl for now and I’m currently reading The Man who Died Twice.
I’m trying to keep on track with my Goodreads account as I’ve had it for a while but not really used it, this year though I am determined to use it more and keep track of what I have/haven’t read. Up to yet I’m doing well 😂😂

message 22: by LJ (new)

LJ Morris | 1 comments Hiii! I thought I’d set another target this year of 52! Added seven husbands to the TBR & no doubt il get there at some point! 🤎

message 24: by Holly (new)

Holly Cornwall | 1 comments Hey! I’m holly. I’ve also set myself a goal for 40 books to read this year. Hoping to use reading as a way of self care as I’m rubbish at self care as I spend most of my time at work or looking after my SEN kids. I’m currently reading the shell house detectives and I’m hoping to read seven husbands after seeing it all over booktok x

message 25: by Steffanie (new)

Steffanie (effy_star) | 6 comments Hi! I’m Steff, I have set my goal of 24 books for 2024 especially with a little one on the way this Feb! I am starting the year with The Lido and hoping to get through my goal again this year!

Emma - insidewildreads Shepherd Well I’ve just finished Beta reading for a new author, part two of a three part series and it’s so good I can’t wait for the release. I have a huge tbr but instead of tackling it I opened my book account on instagram, saw a post by an author I follow with a quote and was instantly sold! 😆 so I’m now reading another 3 part series that wasn’t in my tbr lol

message 27: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie Ley | 4 comments Just interested to hear if any of you guys have read Yellowface by Rebecca Kuang? I’d heard nothing but rave reviews about it, however I’m just over half way through now and I’m really struggling with it!!

message 28: by Grace (new)

Grace McGuire | 7 comments Mod
I keep seeing Yellow face but it’s just not grabbing me!! I pick it up and put it down

message 29: by Wendy Clarke (new)

Wendy Clarke | 4 comments Regarding Yellowface, I have it on my list to read but not got to it yet. I know a few authors and finding that writers are enjoying it more because of the publishing background it has within the storyline so more relatable possibly compared to readers who may not be as familiar with the publishing world.

message 30: by Steffanie (new)

Steffanie (effy_star) | 6 comments I personally really enjoyed yellow face, I read it in one sitting while having a 5 hour layover in an airport. It was one of those books I wanted to finish straight away because I needed to know the ending

message 31: by Sheriden (new)

Sheriden Hood | 1 comments I just read Yellowface and it’s not worth all the attention it’s getting in my opinion, it’s a bit meh. Reading Mrs S by K Patrick atm though and I absolutely LOVE it! My goal is 30 and I read 6 last year so this is definitely ambitious for me 😂

message 48: by Yvette (new)

Yvette Johns | 1 comments Just finished reading my 3rd book of this year. Think I may need to have a break from murder stories as my husband is getting worried I think, especially after the latest book of ‘how to kill men and get away with it’.
