Yesterday, I was 100 years old and helping a 10-year-old boy with a terminally bad heart finish his 5 wishes checklist before he dies. I took him to Wrigley Field, where he hit a home run. Caveat: Since I used to play for the Chicago Cubs, they built a special smaller diamond for him out in the outfield so he was able to actually hit the ball over the wall and into the bleachers. I ended up in jail, however, because technically I had to kidnap him to make his wish list happen.

My eyes are in the West Village of New York in my art studio. Apparently I’m a renowned artist even though in my mind I’m a mom with a daughter no one remembers but me.

My ears are also in New York. I’m a book editor who had an online friendship with an author until he ghosted me. I’ve just started a new friendship with my neighbor who I don’t know is the same author who ghosted me.

My eyes are in Michigan. I am looking for peace. I have just arrived at my cabin.

I'm in Harvard, Boston feeling very unqualified for my new job. The guy who was showing me the ropes is dead apparently.

I'm also in NY (haven't bumped into Marnie yet!) resenting my parents for nagging me to move closer to home.

My eyes are about to go on a roof to redo it with my no good brother-in law. it is July and the roofing season has begun.

My ears are stuck with a teenager and at a lost to what to do and how to deal with her.

I'm still dealing with the aftermath of stealing my friend's baby. I've been here a lot longer than I intended to be. I hope I finally leave today.

I'm also heading to New York in 1937.

I'm also in Wharton. a rourist town on Lake Superior. I'm going to turn the family house into a bed and breakfast. We're about to open up the section of the house my grandmother boarded off years ago and I'm filled with dread.

I am just outside of London. I came home from vacation a day early to find my Parisian friend staying in my house after a fight with her husband. Now she has been here six weeks with no sign of leaving

Ok, a few people in this thread have started to distinguish between whether they are listening to or reading a book by stating that their eyes or ears are in a certain place and I have to tell you that every time I read that I picture disembodied eyeballs or ears in the city or place that is described (a la The Invisible Man with a glitch). 👀 👂🏻

I just closed out my pod-cast hunt for a killer at my high school prep school boarding school where I'd returned as a minimester teacher and managed to drag a couple of my students into the hunt with me. Turns out we were all wrong about who did it, but we didn't really expect to win, we were just hopeful. I'm still mad about it, and expect I probably won't ever get over it.


Now I'm off to see what kind of trouble I can get into in my old home town. I have no idea what to expect, but I'm excited to find out!

I'm in Massachusetts in 1862. My sisters and I just shared our Christmas breakfast with some neighbors who couldn't afford a Christmas breakfast, then we put on a play and went to a dance.

I'm in South Carolina where I've inherited the family mansion. I'm not happy about it, but my wife is estatic.

I'm also in Blackpool to look at some bones my friend discovered. Just after he sent me a letter to come, he died in a house fire. My 18 month old daughter says, "Piss" for Peace. She grabbed the phone when it was ringing and uttered that greeting before I could catch her.

Well I'm miffed. I returned home (England) from Italy to discover the man I thought might be the love of my life is engaged to another woman.

I'm also in NYC pacing the floor of my Dakota apartment waiting for my husband to come home. It's a winter storm out there and I'm worried.

I've just left New Zealand where, it turns out, my mum doesn't hate me as as much as I thought she did.

I think I might pay a visit to Yorkshire next - a woman called Margaret Thatcher has just been elected as PM.

I'm a bit all over the place today. I've been in Colorado where everyone in the entire state has been evacuated and I was left behind. I've been here for months now and no one has noticed that I am missing yet. I rescued my neighbor's dog who was also left behind and he is keeping me company.

I'm now headed to West Virginia where I am hoping to search for my lost sister in the state forest. She disappeared twenty years ago and I didn't even know she existed until recently.

In a couple of hours I'll be heading back to Richmond in 1811 where we are going to see a theater performance in a church. Things will not go as expected for anyone.

I'm also in England where my partner in all things is having the vapors. I had to track him down in Bavaria (where the locals thought he was a monstrous creature haunting the woods) and bring him home.

I'm somewhere in the States, neglected as a child by my meth-addicted mother, and cherished by an older man who is as broken as I am. Things have gotten right crazy and I'm terrified of how it's all going to resolve.

I'm also in London, investigating and old music hall. There's got to be a ghost. right?

I am in Dayton Tennessee where the town is in an uproar. Our science teacher has been charged with teaching evolution and the trial is a boon for the town.

I'm mostly in 1960 London trying to figure out how an American author has written a book about the secret stories that I told my sister when we were young. She was lost and presumed dead when she was a child and no one else knew about them.

I am in Ohio trying to solve the mystery of missing people across various years and trying to outrun covid.

I’ve “fallen off the wagon” in Alabama, suspended from practicing law and now accused of murdering the local meth dealer.

I'm just wrapping up a case in Ohio. Unfortunately, i have ran out of listening minutes on spotify with 17 minutes to go on the book and have to wait 6 days for the conclusion. Ugh

I'm in Kansas. I've just sorted out who killed my father in an older timeline and need to wrap up what happened to my mother.

(On a side note - I looked at a couple other reads today that I was considering for my face-to-face book club and both were also set in Kansas. Just an odd and interesting little coincidence.)

Next I think I'll be heading to a nonfiction read about sleep.
