not read this book, but i hate when people try to make jo/laurie a couple, it kind of takes away jo's agency as a character as she explicitly said she didn't love laurie in that way multiple times
I guess people will ship what they wanna ship though!

thank you, at least I'm not the only one that thinks that. I read the reviews on that book and everyone's like "Yes I wanted them to get together!" I read the book for the first time when I was nine and even then I didn't want that.
I am conflicted.
Jo and Laurie were my first example of a platonic male female friendship. Even if Laurie loved jo when she said no, he moved on eventually and their friendship was still strong. I believe that is important to see.
Jo and Laurie turned them into a romantic couple.
I'm a little annoyed at it. Is it understandable?
