Staci (krigjer) | 1 comments 2023 was the year of the mystery/thriller. I hope to get back to what I really enjoy, and start reading a lot more fantasy in 2024.

Nicole (Nerdish.Maddog) (nerdishmaddog) | 72 comments I'm with Vickie. Discovering Book Outlet last year made my TBR explode and I need to buckle down and read my TBR. I also want to stop avoiding the big books in order to make some book count goal. I really like big books and miss them.

Nanette Fandino-Diaz | 102 comments I am working on softcover books on my shelves. I will donate the books when I am done with them.

Daniela | 45 comments This is year, I want to practice better reading habits - AKA no shame in marking a book “DNF”. I’d rather not force myself to unhappily finish reading something just for the sake of crossing a book off my TBR. ⭐️📚♥️

Christine Mathieu | 319 comments I plan to finally read all my Barbara Erskine novels, then 20 books by Charlotte Link, the North & South trilogy by John Jakes, the Herman Wouk trilogy "The Winds of War" and "War and Remembrance", hopefully all books by Sloan Wilson plus many of my old movie books (for instance several biographies on Grace Kelly and on Marilyn Monroe).

In 2025 I plan to read my 400+ children's books once more. Over the past 40+ years I collected every children's/youth book that I could remember that I liked when I was a child (though there were hundreds of children's books that I didn't like).

DNF as in Do Not Finish?

Brijesh Kartha (brijwhiz) | 7 comments Since the pandemic, I don't seem to have settled down to a point where I could read without concern. Personal and professional lives have been giving major issues, and the result is mere consumption of TV, YouTube, etc. Towards the end of the year got to rebooting my reading practice by re-reading old favorites like the Wheel Of Time series. My main hope is that I can get into a space to read all kinds of new books, without worrying about how serious or deep it might be. Here's hoping I can do that! Wish all of you a good reading year ahead!

Niamh | 2 comments Last year I put reading books on the back burner for a while which meant I didn’t read as much as a I could’ve. This year I really hope to get back into reading a whole book at least once a week again and perhaps getting through the insane piles and piles of books I have sitting in the corner of my room :)

English is not my native language, that's why I was wondering if journaling is the same as writing a diary?
I write diaries since 1967.

Yes Journaling is the same as writing a diary. It is impressive that you have been keeping a diary since 1967.

Christine Mathieu | 319 comments At first it was a small pocket calendar which my mom gave me, then when I was 19 I bought ledgers where I have a large page (as large as a page of copy paper) for every day plus 400 pages inside the ledger (I think that's how you call them in English?).
So I have 31 days per month plus 2 pages on which I write down what I read every month and there are still enough pages in the back left to list the DVD's I bought (which helps me avoiding buying the same DVD twice) and the books I bought.
