How many books will be in the series?
We've been told there will be about 25 books, covering four years.

Help! I've read all the Emma M. Lion books that are available; what else can I read that's as wonderful as they are?
There's good news! Beth releases a new short story every month that is set in the world of St. Crispian's. The new stories shed light on side characters or back stories, adding depth to the whole Emma M. Lion experience. To read these stories, you'll need to subscribe here: https://bethbrower.substack.com
The cost is $5 per month or $50 per year (which works out to a small discount per month).
If you decide not to subscribe at the moment, you can still register and get Beth Brower's newsletter for free so you can keep up with her latest projects.

Also, I highly recommend one of Beth's other novels, The Q, which is set in the same universe as Emma M. Lion, although in a different (fictional) country. If you'd like to see what Beth Brower can do with a complete story arc contained in just one book, this one's an incredibly beautiful experience!

Are there author events I can participate in?
There are occasionally in-person book signings and talks, but Beth has also done two livestreams on Youtube where she answers questions for fans from all over! And does some giveaways too. To find out if she schedules more of these in future, either sign up for her free newsletter at https://bethbrower.substack.com or follow her on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/bethbrower.

Would I like Beth Brower's other books?
Beth's other books have a different tone from The Unselected Journals because she doesn't stick to just one genre. She has a fantasy trilogy (starting with The Queen's Gambit) that many people who aren't necessarily big fantasy readers still quite enjoy. It's quite the page-turner. Her book The Beast of Ten is a redemption tale with fantasy/magical elements to it.
And, as mentioned above, The Q is a wonderful read. While not always as overtly funny as Emma M. Lion, it still has humor layered into a slow-burn, character-driven plot with some of the trappings of a historical romance.

Megan | 7 comments Is there any official merch that I can show my love of Emma M. Lion with?

There are currently some rather beautiful ‘Imperterritus’ enamel pins over on Beth Brower’s website.

“Same universe but different (fictional country)”?!!

Hmm. It’s hard to define whether these are historical fiction or not…Emma M Lion does reference historical events, but there’s a slight fantastical twang to some of the events in St. Crispian’s, wouldn’t you say?
In The Q, events take place in a fictional island country called Rhysdon, which is adjacent to England and France. But for the most part, actually it still seems fairly British-like.
Beth has told us that these stories all co-exist and that we might at some point see a cameo from someone in The Q showing up in EML’s story.

I don’t know if this explanation helps or not? 😂
