The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides

To me, this book was just okay. I liked the setup and the idea was interesting, I thought the execution was a little disjointed.

I thought it was fascinating use of lines to divide the cover into a mirror image especially since the book is two fantasy stories that this might be symbolic.

Jennifer | 55 comments The Marriage Portrait by Maggie O'Farrell In Florence, Lucrezia de’ Medici is married at age 15. The day of her wedding, she immediately departs with her husband, the Duke of Ferrara. Less than a year later she would be dead.

The narrative moves back and forth between Lucrezia's younger years in Florence and her life in Ferrara. It is a compelling fiction of the real life events that took place with a surprise ending about what may have happened. 4*

Those yellow beams are, interestingly, Qward's version of recreational drugs.
