kymagirl | 40 comments I'm new and still trying to figure out series.

I had been working on cleaning up some series information within title fields for works by the same author - commas, #, etc. There are several series that all inhabit the same world with crossover characters, names, places, etc.

The actual series titles are:
Rugged Mountain Ink: Waylon Family Ranch
Rugged Mountain Ink: Filthy, Dirty, Small-Town Love
Rugged Mountain Ink: Balsam Creek Lodge

The title field used to reflect (Full Series Name, # ), but I notice they've been recently edited to be:
RMI: Waylon Family Ranch
RMI: Filthy, Dirty, Small-Town Love
RMI: Balsam Creek Lodge

Is it okay to abbreviate part of the series titles in the title field?

Sorry if this has been addressed elsewhere, I tried searching in the manual and in posts but didn't see this elsewhere.

Sandra | 31408 comments I haven't seen or heard of this happening, and I do series a lot.

Was it perhaps auto imported from amazon?

kymagirl | 40 comments No, I had fixed them all and looking at the changelog another Librarian re-edited them.

I wanted to make sure of what is correct and whether I should re-do them or not.

Sandra | 31408 comments Sounds like someone just likes it that way, but that doesn't make it right.

I suggest you contact support for a ruling and perhaps they could contact the other librarian if they agree with us.
