Anthony | 235 comments It's a reread but Man's Search for Meaning by Viktor E. Frankl has been on my TBR for several years since I last read it in college. I definitely appreciated it more this read. Both the first part with his perspective of the concentration camps as well as the second part covering his logotherapy. I needed some life perspective to understand and appreciate the theory. Worth a read by everyone

Anthony | 235 comments For the Snow White dwarf prompt, I started with The Dope The Real History of the Mexican Drug Trade by Benjamin T. Smith but DNF it. Few two many people in the book without much differentiation between them so I really struggled keeping the story straight. I wasn't that invested so opted to try again. I found Trauma Room Two by Philip Allen Green on my TBR. It's a collection of short stories from the ER. As a long-time ER nurse I related to all of them and could have told them myself (just not as eloquently). The author is a good storyteller and gives a peek behind the curtain of the ER inner workings. I think people working n the field would appreciate this more than the general population but everyone will get something out of it.

Anthony | 235 comments Finished up the year with He Who Fights with Monsters (He Who Fights with Monsters, #1) by Shirtaloon for the pronoun prompt. This is a LitRPG book a genre I wanted to try this year. I like it both as a genre and as a book. I was a little intimidated by the length of the series and each book. I wasn't sure I would continue the series after the first half of the book but I will probably pick up the next one and see how it goes.
