This month, by request, our topic is: books that show Jewish joy or celebration--that kind of thing--to help us handle all the darkness.

Because of the difficulties in identifying such books, and because our energy is limited, we'll be submitting a slate of eight entries instead of taking nominations.

So, we won't be asking for nominations this time.

The list:
Notorious RBG: The Life and Times of Ruth Bader Ginsburg by Irin Carmon and Shana Knizhnik
Seinfeldia: How a Show About Nothing Changed Everything by Jennifer Keishin Armstrong
The Real Mrs. Tobias by Sally Koslow
On Herring Cove Road: Mr. Rosen and His 43Lb Anxiety by Michael Kroft
Unstoppable: Siggi B. Wilzig's Astonishing Journey from Auschwitz Survivor and Penniless Immigrant to Wall Street Legend by Joshua M. Greene
Don’t Forget to Write by Sarah Goodman Confino
Today a Woman Went Mad in the Supermarket: Stories by Hilma Wolitzer
I Must Be Dreaming by Roz Chast

Poll to follow, tomorrow at midnight, hopefully.

FYI-
Please note- the book "Unstoppable: Siggi.." listed in above nominations is NOT about the Holocaust.

Seinfeldia was great. Stacey I think I read your review of Unstoppable when it came out and never got around to it. This gives me needed motivation.

Thanks Brina.
You have a great memory. That was a few years ago.
You are on a holiday break? Take advantage of reading.
So many good ones here. Jan and I are proud of this list! :)
