Nish which book reminds you of this book?

Mary You might try Haruki Murakami, say Wild Sheep Chase.

Nish well I am already a murakami fan. After reading his works I grabbed this one... and absolutely loved it.

Mary Okay, perhaps try The Garden of Evening Mists by Tan Twan Eng, or David Mitchell's Black Swan Green.

Nish Thankyou for the suggestions. Happy weekend.

Mj NovelList Plus (a library resource) suggests authors similar to Ozecki besides Murakami include Marie Mutsuki Mockett, Kyoko Mori and Edwidge Danticat among others.

Trisha The Ginger Tree by Oswald Wynd- A classic!

Susan I took a class that compared The Elegance of the Hedgehog to A Tale of the Time Being. There were a lot of correlations.

Matt If you are interested in Japanese authors, you could try Banana Yoshimoto.

Try "Norwegian By Night" by Derek Miller. It also plays with the idea of time and the relationship between memory and action. Here's my review http://wp.me/p1u2nm-JB

Susan NbN has one of my favorite characters of all time.
