Honeydew and & QueenOfHearts || The Princess and the Thief
Rosalind did not dream while she was out. She was quiet and still, and only when the sleeping juice began to wear off did she show signs of life (aside from breathing). She mumbled something and blinked, eyes attempting to focus on Lana in front of her. "Did you stitch me up?" She asked.

"Oh, okay. I should lay down for a bit?" Rosalind asked to make sure. "I'm not wearing anything under this blanket?" She suddenly looked worried and a blush rose to her cheeks. "I'm okay... just tired. Sluggish."

"Okay," Rosalind said nervously. She took the glass and sipped the water, sighing a little. "It's so frustrating I got injured in the first place."

She chuckled. "Yeah, it sucks, but you'll be up and going in no time....this time." she said, rubbing the back of her neck. "Sorry about it all, by the way."
((Actually I think she was running from the men and slipped hard on the rocks, gasping herself open??))
"What are you sorry for?" Rosalind frowned, squinting at her. "But you helped me."

"Well, I tried to the first time." she said with a sigh. "But I paid closer attention this time," she reassured. "But anyways, why don't you relax for a bit, wake up, and then come out here to get yourself a meal." she said with a smile. "Just holler if you need me, Rosalind." she said, carefully stepping out of the room and closing the door.
"If anything, I'm sure I'm the one who tore the stitches," Rosalind murmured. She didn't really think it mattered to keep talking about it anyway. "Okay, thank you. I'm tired but maybe later I will try to come out. Thanks for everything again."

Rosalind hung back in the bedroom for the next half hour before getting up carefully and pulling on one of the dresses. She really didn't feel great and was still getting over her fever from the infection, but she grabbed a blanket and carefully walked out of the room into the kitchen.

Rosalind went to the table and eased herself into a chair. She shrugged both shoulders. "Not that good but I'm okay. Thanks for breakfast." She took the spoon of honeyed porridge and tasted it. "Mmm. this is good."

"Thanks," Rosalind smiled, and she really meant it. When she finished her porridge, she stood to take her bowl to the sink to wash it out.

Rosalind rinsed a few of the other dishes too and paused, glancing over at Lana. "Oh, sure. What's that?" She asked.

"Can you wake Lucas up?" she asked, gesturing to her old friend, who was still snoring logs, though it was muffled from the pillow.
((It's okay!))
"Oh, sure," Rosalind said, turning to look over at Lucas. She hesitated a moment before carefully walking over to him. She took away the pillow and gently shook his shoulder.

"Sorry," Rosalind took a few steps back to give him more space. "Lana wanted me to wake you up."

"No, you're fine," Rosalind shook her head. She sat down on a nearby chair. "Do you want me to give you a few minutes to wake up on your own? I can go back to the kitchen. Or the other room."

"I'm better," Rosalind murmured. "Still tired and a little funny, but getting there. Did you have a good nap?"

"Oh," Rosalind said, rubbing her own neck without thinking. "That's not good. I hate those." She looked at him for a few minutes. "Did you eat breakfast, then?"

Rosalind didn't know the effect of her gaze on Lucas. She kept watching him, then slowly nodded. "I did just a bit ago. Lana made some delicious porridge. Maybe I can bring you some?" Walking the short distance probably wouldn't be too strenuous to her weak body and she wanted to help where she could. "Sorry about your neck."

"It is, don't worry," Rosalind assured him. "If I tried cooking anything I'm sure I'd burn the water." She let out a small chuckle. "I'll go grab you some." She stood carefully and headed off to the kitchen. "Lucas is awake. He'd like some porridge."

Lana nodded. "Alright, the pot is over there." she said, nodding her head. She was washing a couple of blue and white glowing mushrooms.
((MOOO))
As Rosalind scooped up some porridge, she glanced over at Lana. "What are you doing with those?" she asked curiously. She hadn't seen those before but again, she knew nothing of cooking or medicine.

"I dunno yet. They can be used for a lot of things." she said. "I might try to use these to grow more though, since I'm seeing less and less of them lately." she said.
((I'm just kidding with you! XD I love it!))
"Ohh," Rosalind raised an eyebrow. "That makes sense. So you're also a gardener. You both can certainly do a lot."

She gave a small shrug, trying to suppress a grin. "I suppose." she said. "What about you? Do you do anything in a garden?" she asked.
"Um, I- not really," Rosalind shook her head. Of course she knew nothing about gardening because there were servants assigned to taking care of the flowers and gardens surrounding the castle. Or there had been. "I love roses, though. And I think anyone who gardens has a true eye for beauty."

She smiled, blushing a little. "Thank you." she said. "We have some roses in the back. they're not as grand as what you might expect, but a rose is a rose." she said.
((That's okay, I was also just on vacation and out of cell service))
"I'd love to see them at some point," Rosalind said, smiling back at her.
"Oh- probably. Sorry," Rosalind said, blushing a little and moving over to the pot of stew so she could help serve it for the meal. She was still slow but feeling better than yesterday.

((beware of cringe ahead lmao))
When Rosalind came back, Lucas smiled and then yawned. "Soup," he said with a nod. "Soup is good." he said, taking the bowl, their fingers brushing against each other as he did so.
"Yes, smells amazing," Rosalind murmured. At the faintest brush of their hands, Rosalind's cheeks heated a little and she wasn't sure why. "Ahhh, oop-" she blinked, laughing softly.
I'm gonna do a "special" time skip)
Lana's POV
Lana fixed up all of Rosalind's wounds, taking her time this time. The sun was setting when she was done, and she exhaled softly. She dabbed at Rosalind's forehead with a wet washcloth and sighed. She's stubborn, but she knows when to stop for her health. she though. Unlike some heathens. she thought, glancing at the door. she sighed and covered Rosalind with the blanket, folding her dress up neatly. She didn't want to risk tearing the stitches or anything. She got up to go to Lucas. "She's all done, but I think I'll take this watch, alright?" she said. Lucas wanted to protest, she could tell, but when he sighed, she knew she'd won this one...though the look in his eyes nearly killed him. "It's only because she's not decent and I don't want her to freak out when she wakes." she explained. He looked even more hurt. "No, not because of you but because—"
Lucas's POV
"I get it, I do." Lucas interrupted. "I get what you're saying, and honestly I don't want to get punched or something from reflexes." he said with a chuckle, though he was still upset. He wasn't sure why, either. He sighed and headed to the living room. He didn't realize how tired he was until he laid onto the couch, and without wanting to, he fell asleep.
NORMAL TIME SKIP
Lucas was still snoring on the couch, though Lana had stayed up all night with Rosalind, watching her carefully for any changes. She kept a dagger in her hands in case someone decided to pay a visit, though she knew that Lucas would've taken care of them.
She saw Rosalind shuffle, and Lana glanced over. It was the first signs of movement since Lana gave her the sleeping juice. She'd prayed it didn't kill her, and it didn't. she exhaled softly and dabbed at her forehead with a cool wash cloth.
