"No, I can walk," Rosalind shook her head. "That really isn't far." It felt farther with her tired, sore ankle, but she did not want to ride a horse just to go into town because her ankle was slowing her down.

"No, I'm ready," Rosalind said, offering a faint smile. She waited for him to finish putting on his boots then the two headed down the steps and towards the dirt path.

Lucas and Rosalind were wandering at the market, oohing and ahhing at all sorts of things. Occasionally, Lucas would something, such as potatos or what not. "Find anything you want?" he asked.
Rosalind really would get whatever she wanted, at least in the past, but things were different now. She had never felt the selfish desire to get whatever, and instead she just examined the beautiful trinkets, garments, baskets, and whatever else the sellers had on hand. Her eye had caught a beautiful moon shaped stone, polished till it shone, and hanging on a leather cord. It was so simple but Rosalind's eyes kept veering back to it. "Oh, it's alright, we really should just buy the necessities. Food and clothing."

((He better pay for it...! 😆 Or else she'll get mad!))
"Sure, I'll grab some," Rosalind nodded, agreeing. She blushed. "Alright. Ah, I'll just wait for you then in that general area of the fruit stand." She scurried off to purchase some, not turning her head to see where Lucas was at the time because she didn't want to end up seeing anything.
First she examined the varieties of apples, and finding some that looked the best to her, she pointed at them. "Can I get a bag of these?"

Lucas laughed at her reaction and turned to the jewelry. He glanced at the necklaces and eventually pulled one up, a moon shaped stone with a leather cord. Initially, Lucas wanted to steal it, but then he thought of Rosalind. He sighed and pulled out some coins. He gave the merchant the coins and pocketed the necklace. He then walked up besides her. "Hey," he said.
Rosalind turned back around quickly when Lucas returned. "Well, that was quick. I got some apples. Hope these ones are okay," she said, holding up the bag. "What else do we need to get?"

"Alright," Rosalind said. Her ankle and side were both feeling strained and tired. "I'm ready to go back if you are. Or we can stop at the lake." She couldn't swim and found that very embarrassing since this Lucas seemed to know how to do everything.

"Ummm," Rosalind thought slowly, "well how about we go back to the cabin, if that's alright?" She didn't want to complain but her ankle was really growing tired. Her side felt hot and like it was twinging or something.

As they continued on, Lucas noticed how Rosalind would limp every now and then, and he paused. "Let's take a break at this tree stump," he said gently. "My uh, back hurts," he lied since didn't want her to think that he was babying her since she was a princess
"That's not good," Rosalind said, drawing her brows together. She paused, grateful for the rest but not cluing in that it was actually for her. "Maybe you should sit down. Take a moment." She gestured at the stump.
"I'm fine," Rosalind shrugged, but after only a few minutes she did take up the offer and sank down onto the stump. She was feeling exhausted and wanted to sleep. Shivering, she pulled her cloak around he shoulders more, grateful that she had brought it along with her.

"Oh, no please, don't give me your vest," Rosalind shook her head. "You'll need it. I already have a shawl. Then you'll have nothing." She stood up, wobbly on her sore ankle. It was swelling a little but hidden beneath her skirts. "I'm ready if you are. How's your back?"

"I didn't mean that, I just-" Rosalind shook her head, a little flustered. "I'm fine, just ready to head back if that's alright. I'm glad we were able to get a few things."

Rosalind took his offered arm and the two walked along the path, heading back to the cabin. While she was doing well and keeping up for the most part, she did end up lagging behind after awhile and was shivering more despite the air not being that chilly. Her forehead was beaded with sweat and she trembled a bit. But she kept on, determined to get back in a reasonable time.

"I'm okay," Rosalind murmured, shaking her head. "We're heading back home, anyway." But even with her faint smile, she did look a bit worn out. Possibly sick. "We're almost there. Why stop now?" She asked, indicating that they should keep going.

"No, no, I can walk," Rosalind shook her head, biting her lip. She didn't want to come across as a weak girl who couldn't handle a short walk just because she wasn't feeling great.

Rosalind eventually made it back to the cabin despite being exhausted and stumbling the past few feet up the steps. Her vision spun and she nearly collapsed against Lucas, which was very embarrassing.

"I can walk," Rosalind murmured as he picked her up. She blinked to stay awake, trying to remain in the present. "I'm okay, really," Rosalind said, trying to sit up. It twinged her side and she grunted a little in pain.

Rosalind sighed a little and lay back down, waiting for Lana and Lucas to return. The room was spinning again and she didn't understand how she'd started feeling so crappy this fast. She was running a fever at this point and her wound did look infected. When Lana came in, she shifted a little to better see her, and smiled a little. "Hey. I think Lucas is exaggerating a little... I'm sure I'm fine. I just need to sleep or something."

"It was this afternoon," Rosalind murmured. "It just came on so fast. I thought I'd be fine." She sighed a little. She hated feeling like this... being awkward and not able to handle a simple walk to the markets and back.

"We could've left early," Lucas said, concerned. "Or at least we could've taken a horse or something." He said, though he didn't mean it in a patronizing way. "I'm surprised you didn't collapse in the middle of the market." he admitted.
"Alright," Rosalind sighed. She watched Lana go then looked at Lucas. "It's okay. I think that would have been completely humiliating. Worse than me being the way I am right now." She grunted and shoved herself to a sitting position though it seemed to take a lot of energy. "Really, I'm fine. I probably didn't drink enough water or something."

Rosalind blushed. "I'm sure your reflexes are quite fast," she said. She watched him curiously, wondering what he was thinking.

Rosalind blushed a bit but scooted her dress up so Lana could see her wounds. They were bandaged obviously, but some material was seeping through from where she'd torn part of her stitches.

"Is it really bad?" Rosalind asked, taking the bottle. She paused, looking at Lana. "Did I ruin your good work from earlier?"

((to u wanna do a time skip?))

((do u wanna do a time skip?))
"Do you have to take the old stitches out?" Rosalind asked. She looked at her bottle then gulped it back, making a face at the taste. It didn't take long for the stuff to start working. "Feel kind of fuzzy. Floaty, sort of," she sighed, laying back down for Lana. "It doesn't hurt."
Time passed and Lana soon fixed Rosalind up. Rosalind tried to say she was fine but after Lana's and Lucas' coaxing, she didn't protest any longer and fell asleep.
