Rosalind didn't really ever wear the same thing over and over again, not when she was used to having hundreds of dresses at her disposal. She never really understood what the point of changing into a new dress for this meal or that event was, but she had done it anyway as it was expected of her.
"I'll let you know," Rosalind nodded.
Rosalind limped out slowly to the kitchen a few minutes later, wearing one of the dresses from Lucas. It fit very well, actually, and the dark blue flattered her. Her hair was down over one shoulder. "Thank you, Lucas, this dress is comfortable," she smiled shyly. "It smells great out here."

"Thank you," Rosalind blushed a little. "I love the color." She leaned onto the table for support and sank into one of the empty chairs. She was just glad she could move around on her own, even if her ankle still hurt quite a bit. "I've not had rabbit soup before. It sounds interesting," she said, thanking him as she took a bowl.

"Oh, I wouldn't know," Rosalind said honestly, taking a bite. It was delicious. Flavors flooded her mouth and she let out a small groan before she could stop herself. "Well, this is fantastic! Wow. Thank you."

((I thought I replied!! So sorry - thanks for the reminder))
Rosalind shrugged a bit. She thought it was good and she was getting food when the other alternative was her being dead after the castle's attackers had taken her down. She owed a lot and getting food on top of it was not something she had been expecting. It didn't take long for her to finish her stew and she sat back with a content sigh.

When they were all one, Lucas stood up and collected the bowls and washed them. "Did you enjoy it?" he asked Rosalind.
Rosalind thanked him for taking her bowl and then nodded, giving a thumbs up. "I did! It was great. Thank you." She smiled shyly at the two. She felt like she was sort of interrupting their normal way of doing things. She literally owed them her life and here she was, crashing at their table.

Rosalind startled a little when Lucas sat down beside her. Her shy nervous smile disappeared and she shrugged, growing more serious. "What do you mean?" She asked softly, a blush creeping up her neck and to her cheeks.

Rosalind dropped her gaze away from him for just a moment. "Of course I'm comfortable. I'm healing, or at least I think I am." She chewed her lip.

She let out a small sigh, releasing her hands that she hadn't even realized had curled into fists. She needed to relax. "Yes, of course." Rosalind still did not meet his eyes. Looking at the table, she sighed again. "I-I know I'm a princess...but I don't want you and Lana to feel like you have to...I don't know. Be different because of just a silly title. And I'm just...taking up space a-and..." She shrugged and looked away. Since her birth she had always been that girl who was in the way.

Rosalind let out a breath, meeting his gaze. Her lips frowned a little but she listened to him nevertheless. "You guys are going to want your space back. I need to heal up so I can let you have that." Now that she thought of it, her side still ached and probably would for a while.

"Okay. Got it," Rosalind murmured. "I don't want to be useless. Whatever I can do, let me know, okay, please?"

"Thank you," Rosalind said. She hadn't grown up doing any housework as a princess but she was not afraid to learn how. Her ankle wouldn't take long to heal compared to her side, she was sure, and once that was the case she would be up and at it. "That sounds lovely. I'd like to do that sometime. Do you like to swim?"

Rosalind's eyes widened and she laughed a little, hand going to her side. "That sounds crazy! Is it a big waterfall? Is the lake deep?" She actually couldn't swim and it was embarrassing.

"That's insane! But I guess I can see how that might be fun," Rosalind admitted. "I've just never tried it." She looked down at where she'd put her hand. "I'm okay. Just laughing hurts a bit."
Rosalind grinned at him. "You seem like the kind of guy who'd want that adrenaline rush of jumping down a waterfall."

"It sounds more interesting than sitting around in a castle while everyone does everything for you, including trying to find someone for you to marry," Rosalind said, tilting her head. "What other things do you enjoy doing?"

"I love animals, and music," she added, smiling over at him. Maybe they had some things in common after all. Though she didn't see herself as daring, those adventures did sound exciting.

"Today? Are you sure?" Rosalind asked, sounding like a hopeful little girl. She wanted to, so she nodded, smiling a little. Normally she would have just told her father that she was doing whatever and even if he didn't like it, they just argued and she got it.

"No, I-," Rosalind began, "I think I'd like to go. I'm just surprised that you want to take me along, I guess. You think I'll blend in enough?"

"I'd hate sitting around in silence," she said, shaking her head at the thought. "It sounds fun! I'd love to borrow her shawl." Rosalind jumped up onto her feet but her ankle buckled a little and she grabbed Lucas' knee in response. "Oh- I'm sorry! I didn't mean to grab you!"

"I'm okay! I just can't believe what I just did," Rosalind said, her cheeks growing pink. She stood up straight. Her ankle was still sore but if they didn't race she was sure she would be fine.

"As long as we don't run I'll probably be okay," Rosalind said. She waited for him to grab the right shawl she was allowed to wear, then took it and wrapped it around her shoulders. She hoped she'd be unnoticed going out into the town. Nobody expected her to be there anyway, so that was to her advantage. "Ready when you are," she said.

"You look great." he said. "Come on," he said before heading outside. He worse a simple white long sleeve with brown trousers and his satchel. "Here are some coins—they won't buy everything, but hopefully it's enough for you to buy something you find." he said, handing her pouch. "But keep it close at all time—thieves are everywhere." he warned as they walked.
Rosalind followed him outside, moving carefully on her ankle. She took the offered coins, though hesitantly. "Are you sure?" She asked, biting her lip. It really wasn't a lot but she was taking so much from them already. She nodded, tightening her grip on it and wrapping the cord around her wrist. "How far is it from here?"
