Rosalind wished there was more she could do, but alas, there wasn't at this point in time. "It's alright. Umm, maybe I can just," she slipped one hand up to his shoulder to brace herself and basically use him as her "second leg," and glanced over at him. "Ah, is this alright like this?"

Rosalind limped over towards the couch with Keldings' help and carefully sat, feeling a twinge in her side. That would probably be there for awhile until she healed - she let out a yelp of her own when the man stumbled a bit and almost crashed into her. She stared back at him, eyes widening and a blush rising to her cheeks. The two of them were so close. "Um, are you okay?" she asked hesitantly.
((Are you wanting a slow burn romance or maybe a faster one? I'm good with either!))

"Yeah, sorry." he said, embarrassed. He then frowned and wiped something off her cheek, wiping his thumb gently until whatever he was wiping away was gone. "There. sorry, you had some blood." he said. he the. realized how red her cheeks were and he stepped back. "Sorry, lost my footing." he said.
((That sounds good! ))
Rosalind froze when he touched her skin but she did not wrench away from him. "It's alright...just don't go twisting your ankles, either. Believe me, it isn't fun to feel like I am stuck doing nothing for so long." She went quiet then, wondering what was going to happen. She had no idea what was happening back at the castle, who was alive, who had...been killed. It scared her. It scared her that there was probably nothing she could do.

"I'm okay," Rosalind shook her head as if to rid herself of her emotions. If only it were so easy as that. "Does my face look like something?" She laughed lightly as if she wasn't concerned at all.

"It's okay. Just a little fuzzy. Mostly I just feel tired, but I guess that's part of the same," Rosalind said with a faint shrug. She thought about asking if he needed any help, but other than her ankle being a pain and just having had surgery, she really had no idea how to be much of a use. Another reason she felt ashamed of herself.

"Thank you," Rosalind took the canteen and had a sip. She frowned. "Are you sure it's safe after the attacks? You don't where those men went off to. But no, I don't need anything..."

"You know yourself well enough," Rosalind said with a nod. She let out a breath. "I just feel so useless here. I've got no real talents or skills to be of any help." Her shoulders fell. As soon as she was better enough, she had to start working on skills.

Lucas's eyes softened. "Hey," he said softly. "You got plenty of talents!" he said, trying to cheer her up. "You can dance like how a river flows, you can tell someone off without coming off as too rude, and you're wonderful at running." he said, trying to make her smile. "And you're not useless." he said firmly.
((I knew what you meant :) But both were pretty funny!))
((Just the "What's that on the back of my hand?" thing!))
Rosalind went pink as he complimented her. He was good with his words. "You're very kind. I appreciate it. I won't be able to do much running until my ankle heals, or dancing, for that matter." She smiled anyway, trying to cheer herself up as well. "You never told me your first name," she asked suddenly.

When Rosalind smiled and blushed, Lucas wanted to shout "aha!". When she said that he hadn't told her his actual name, he rubbed the back of neck sheepishly. "Too be fair, I didn't know to trust you, so. Yeah. Anyways, you know Lana's first name so. I'm Lucas." he said, sticking his hand out.
((Hehe))
"That's fair," Rosalind murmured. "Nice to meet you, Lucas. And Lana," she added, sticking out her hand and shaking Lucas' rougher one.

Rosalind smiled at them both, feeling a bit shy for some reason. She felt awkward because she wasn't sure if she should shake Lana's hand or not since she was farther away. Rosalind should have known the proper etiquette but she was blanking out. Hopefully these two didn't mind too much. "Thank you both again for saving my life."

Rosalind nodded. "I will. I hope not. What would be some symptoms of being allergic to the stuff you used? And like what kind of stuff?" She asked curiously.

"Oohh," Rosalind's eyes grew wide and she did all she could to not give any more of a reaction. "I'll let you know if I start feeling funny. Or bleeding from strange places." As Lucas headed for the door, Rosalind lifted a hand and waved back at him. When the door shut and he was gone, she let out a small sigh.

"I hope you can get that stain out," Rosalind said. "I'm sure it'll look really lovely on you." Seeing that she was barefoot, she swung her legs back up onto the couch and went to lay back down. "Thank you. I will. But I'll try not to bother you too much."

Rosalind smiled back shyly at her. "I take it that...you've grown to tolerate a lot? If that's what you mean?" She chuckled a little.

"Yeah, I know what you mean," Rosalind laughed a little, then winced as it tugged on her side. "Don't we just love it though?" She supposed she didn't have a lot of experience in that category but she had a little and could at least understand her meaning.

I didn't forget about u I promiseeee))
Lana laughed. "Yeah," she said with a sigh.
TIME SKIP
Later on that night, Lucas came back. He snuck in, though it was clear Lana was up since she scowled at him, crossing her arms. "Hi," he said quietly. He then sigh. "I know," he said softly. "I'm late." he felt like an kid getting scolded, but then Lana wrapped her arms around him and sighed. "You scared me. I thought the guards got you." she mumbled. Lucas smiled and hugged back. He showed Lana what he had all got, which included some dresses and fabrics, some carrots and potatoes, and a hare. "I caught it myself." he said matter of factly. She smiled and took the hare to prep for tomorrow. "Rosalind is in the bed, I told her she could have it for tonight." she whispered. "I'm not sure if she is asleep or not, though." she admitted. Lucas shrugged. "All good, I'll just set these dresses onto the shelf or something." he said before tip toeing into Rosalind's room.
((It's okay!))
Rosalind had protested against sleeping in the bed. This wasn't her house and she did not expect them to give her anything. But when Lana continued to insist, Rosalind finally gave in. She was tired enough, anyway. It did not take her long to fall asleep and when Lucas snuck in to put the dresses away, she didn't stir.

TIME SKIP
In the morning, Lucas was already up, making rabbit stew while the girls slept in. When he was done, he gently woke up Lana who was on the old sofa, and then walked over to Rosalind's room. he gently shook her shoulders.
Rosalind let out a small sigh when he checked her forehead, but even that motion didn't wake her. She was exhausted and had to heal.
The next morning, at Lucas' shake, Rosalind let out a groan and blinked her eyes open. At first she froze, not understanding where she was or who the man was. It took a minute to sink in. She drew in a deep breath and rubbed a hand down her face. "Is it morning already?"

"I'm okay. Tired, but alive, thanks to you guys," she said, putting her hands behind her head. "I don't know. Maybe. I just don't want to lie around but I can't do a lot until I'm healed." She cracked a sleepy smile. "I bet you have lots of experience with that from what you're saying. It's no fun."

"He stabbed you over a watermelon?" Rosalind raised her eyebrows. "That's wild. You're lucky he didn't kill you, though." She grunted as she shifted a bit in bed. "I wish I could fend for myself a little better."

"Yeah. Maybe we could do something like that," Rosalind agreed. Then she frowned. "Except what that means is that you'll have to put up with me that long?" She didn't exactly know what would happen but she hadn't been expecting to hang around forever. They were only helping her right now because she'd almost died, but why would they want to put up with her for long?

"It wouldn't be fair for me to not do something in return for you," Rosalind mumbled, mostly to herself. She had always been a burden, even back at the castle as a princess. She didn't marry who her father wanted and did everything but what was expected of her. It was hard to sit still and conform to what her father wanted of her when it was in her nature to find adventure and, oftentimes, trouble.

"I wasn't planning on it, but I doubt I could do much against either of you if I tried," Rosalind gave a half laugh. It was funny, but at the same time it really wasn't because it meant she was vulnerable. "Sounds delicious. I'll try to be quick." She sat up slowly with great care swung her legs over the side of the bed. "You got me dresses?" Her eyes widened. "You didn't have to do that!"
