Did you try splitting from the combine page? It tends to work better when all you need to do is split a single edition out.Anyway, it worked for me on the first try. There is some anecdotal evidence of a hidden limitation on splitting by regular librarians, so that might have been the reason. I split the edition and left a librarian note asking not to combine it improperly.
As for "more books" you will need to be more specific.
No, I have only used the separation page, haven't noticed any other way to do that. And thanks, I don't remember having done much splitting lately, so it must be very low if such a limit exists.I meant that among the other "editions" there are other books with more stories than A Christmas Carol, similar to this book. But as there seem to be thousands of editions, one would have through them all while separating them. But I can't do it, so I let someone else figure it out.
I also tried to add the original titles and the publication year/month to this book but I am unable to do that. I get an error message that
"Description may only include links to other pages on Goodreads

which is obviously incorrect. But I seem to be getting this often lately.
Being unable to split an edition should be rare. Please try to split the edition yourself from the combine page. If this fails, you can ask someone here to split a specific edition for you.As for "Description may only include links to other pages on Goodreads", this occurs if you forget to add a space after a dot. Just make sure all your dots have spaces after them and you should be fine.
I have to see how it works if I need to do it again. And the problem was that I had done nothing to the description, I was just trying to add the titles and the year. It was correct earlier, then I fixed it again and managed to add the titles/year and now its fine. But this has happened to me before, as well, which is pretty annoying.
Yes, it happens even if you don't change the description. Yes, it is annoying.
I have tried to separate this book from the rest many times in the past few days but I always get an error that "the page doesn't work". Could you please fix it? And of course it would be nice if the original titles and the original publication date were corrected, as well.
