Do I need to read shadow and bone before starting six of crows?

You don’t need to but imo you get more info about the grisha etc. if you read them first. I did read then first and I loved the fact that I did even though the stories have really nothing in common except the grisha.

You don’t necessarily need to read them first but it helps to have the information about the grishaverse so you don’t get lost in what’s going on in SoC

It's not a requirement in order to understand SoC. I feel the S&B books are sorta slow, especially compared to the others so if you want to read SoC first, it's not an issue!
