Team Jason Mraz - Chat!
FYI team, my computer is down and I won’t be getting help until Wednesday evening. I will keep trying, but if I appear to be MIA that is why. I have two books, I think, banked, that anybody can post for me if you don’t mind, and then when I have the ability to add it to the review thread I will do that myself. Obviously, phones just don’t cut it!

That spreadsheet update is so helpful! THANK YOU!!
Isn’t that the truth, Betsy? Lol I am dying to see the update on the spreadsheet that everyone is talking about.

There is just a line inserted on the week tab that has it separated now by judge, host, dance, etc... It definitely helps keep what we need together in one spot vs week 1 where you had to scroll to find

I think as long as both tanks are completed for that specific one, we don’t really have a strategy. I think we should used the banked books first though.
Ok... I'll add my banked books from last week but won't delete them... that way until we check in, if we need to move books around, we know where else it works. I'll just highlight them.

I think Ashlyn did it :)
I think Ashlyn did it :)
I added a book from Ivelisse and one from Vicki into the SS for the dance "Jive." I didn't post the reviews since we're still thinking through/moving things around. But with those added all the dance/dancers/host/judge categories are "completed" so I think we should add a new section to the SS and go for a second dance!
I just deleted the drop-down and typed in what I wanted. I saw of the FAQ that other groups were having issues with the drop downs too.
Jamie wrote: "How do we fix column I in the spreadsheet so the drop downs work again?"I tried messing with it and could not figure it out so I was going to do the same as Ashlyn did.

I will add it to the banked books and we'll figure out where it works as we add more books.
Alaina wrote: "I can take a look if you want tomorrow. Is it the whole column or certain cells?"The whole column but we an always override it... not a huge deal. I tried looking at it and it made me question my computer savviness. lol

They worked until we added that extra line, so I'm guessing that's what messed it up. I wasn't sure how Ivelisse fixed the name column earlier today and was hoping that would fix it.
Once Alaina looks at it, if that's the issue, maybe we use column A in the future weeks to separate things out instead of adding the line so that all the drop downs work.

I'm going to take another stab at it later. Hubs is traveling so I have nothing but time on my hands! LOL
😂😂 it’s okay. I was hoping to make sure all the tabs were working correctly today moving forward but I got distracted with work. I’ll make sure to look at everything tomorrow for all teams. I got a new laptop over the holidays and finally set it up over the weekend. Hoping all the spreadsheets will just accept the changes and work 🤞🏻
Amazing! Do you think we should start posting our books? It looks like the requirements for this round are pretty settled, and we can use our banked books to go for a second dance
For the second round, we have in banked:
Dance: Charleston (Raquel - Beach at Summerly, Saige - Secret of Bees)
Pro Dancer: Artem (Ivelisse - Broken Love Story, Betsy - The Playbook)
Star Dancer: Iris Winnow (Ivelisse - Book of Night, Jamie - Beneath These Lies)
My only question about the above list is Betsy's "The Playbook" for TROUPE in title. It has TROUPE if you include the subtitle, but not if you don't. Does that count? If not, we probably have the banked stuff to do a different pro dancer

Awesome! In that case, we have enough for a second dance for sure. I think we should start posting the books we have lined up on the SS. I have time today if anyone wants me to post their banked books for them
I am watching my grandchildren today until this evening and I get home about 6:30 to 6:45 PM. I can post mine at that time unless somebody posts mine for me which is OK with me if somebody chooses to do so.
The way I understand what Alaina said is that we only need one host and one judge. So it wouldn’t do any good nor do I think it would count any points for us to read for another judge or host. So if you have a book I would try to find something somewhere to be used as a dance, dancer or a star/character.

We only need Dancer, Dancer and Star for the second dance.
Vicki, I posted one of your books, but I couldn't post yours for "model" in text cause I don't have the page number and quote, sorry!
She had the kind of classic features—high cheekbones, flawless skin, large almond-shaped eyes with long, dark, natural eyelashes—that any model would die for. Pg 147 if it is for Christmas Ever After

Got it! I posted that one for you too

No problem! Also, does anyone have a third book for the movie task? I'll be done with mine tonight, and Ashlyn has one, but we need a third to finish the week's tasks
Saige wrote: "No problem! Also, does anyone have a third book for the movie task? I'll be done with mine tonight, and Ashlyn has one, but we need a third to finish the week's tasks"I can do The Perks of Being a Wallflower for the movie task!

I added some rows to the SS - we have enough for a third dance this week, maybe even a fourth with all the stuff in banked. I moved banked books to those rows. If everyone thinks the way I arranged them works, then we can post for that second and third dance!

13 is the minimum - you can always read more.
Each week you need the theme, a judge and a host. That's 7 books right there.
Theme - 3 people read for the same task (3 books)
Judge - both tasks (2 books)
Host - both tasks (2 books)
For each dance, you need a professional dancer and a star/book character. That's 6 books right there.

Professional Dancer - both tasks (2 books)
Star / Book Character - both tasks (2 books)
