How about for Choose Your Own Adventure December, you start off with a book from your TBR and each following book has to have something in common with the book before.
Thus it'll be a zany CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE!
Cause it could be anything. Like the covers can both be blue, the characters share the same name, the books are written by the same author, has dragons, there be rebel robots, it's dystopian, both are cozy, etc.
Endless possibilities that can make the next choice simple or unique in connection.

Yeah, at least I didn't get any romance recs. I don't always hate romance, but it's never going to be my first choice to read.

Ooh that's an intriguing idea. Also allows for a lot of flexibility, which is always good for challenge points. :P

I can't remember the last time I read a CYOA book, but I remember being frustrated by the character dying with every other choice I made. Then I'd have to go back and choose the other option, only to realize that path also led to death and I had to go back even further.

Me and my mom read every possible ending of a CYOA goosebumps book one, on a Greyhound bus trip... anything to pass the time...
It might have been this one: Zombie School... all I remember is a cafeteria scene, and only 1-2 of the books sound like they'd have one... this one and Beware of the Purple Peanut Butter... and I think there was a face on the cover, so Zombie School seems more likely...
