How many book do you have on your physical TBR? Would you go on a book ban if you had a lot on your physical tbr? What would be the reason to only buy a few book?

I have about 44 at the moment. I would like to get this number down before buying more book. I'm not someone who like having over 100 book on the physical tbr. That would stressed me out. I'm going to go on a book buying ban in 2024. I would only buy the book if i need the squeal of a book or it a new release from a author that I really like. I'm just weird and hate feeling like I waste my money buying book that I would never read.

I haven't counted. But I literally want to read any book that I've seen twice. Like if I seen it on tiktok and then in a bookshop. Its on my TBR

I have done that a lot on tiktok. Haft of the book that I read are all from tiktok.

I‘ve got a lot of books on my tbr…but I will never go on a ban. Maybe a „buy ban“ bit not a ban. Here in my area you can get slot of books for free, mostly second hand or you can trade. I do that if the opportunity given. But I‘m very fast with finishing my tbr so it’s a good compensation with buying and reading. But if I realize I don’t like a book I‘ll ask friends or friends if friends if they are interested. If not I‘ll hand the book to our local community-center and they’ll give it to someone else. I know that not everyone has an opportunity like that, but if please do. I hate that whole buying books new and all the brand new books freshly out community on the internet. I love almost a 100 books on my tbr and I just keep by I can’t stop myself lol

At the moment I have about 55 books on my physical TBR, next year, one of my goals is to read at least 40 physical TBR books, because I'm going to keep accumulating.
I love reading on my kindle, but there is nothing better than reading a new book just bought 🤩.
I don't think I'll put myself on a book buying ban because I actually read pretty fast and I don't buy books every month. So I think I'll be able to reduce the number of books I have on my physical TBR.
