It will be even better if you add a point Language (some people forget this)* Language (other than English)

Good idea, added!
And maybe rename [Closed] Added Books/Editions to something like Archive? There are dozens requests every day.I think people for whom English isn't their native language see Added Books/Editions = Add Books/Editions.
Thanks all, I'll update that post as soon as I get a gap.
Also happy to rename the closed folder, especially as we'll be making this a catch-all folder if we add the ability to archive threads across all request folders.

Hi Jaclyn, just checking in on this update.I've noticed there are a few pages around the site that link to rivka's original topic. I'll add them here as I find them.

"making sure to follow these guidelines"
Hi all! I've updated the 'How to request a book to be added to Goodreads' post:
https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
I added new comments and deleted the older ones, so the link remains the same. 😊
I've requested that the ability to mark posts as done be added to other folders, and I'll change the archive folder name and announce the feature once updated.

Thanks so much Jaclyn!Jaclyn wrote: "I've requested that the ability to mark posts as done be added to other folders, and I'll change the archive folder name and announce the feature once updated."
I am unreasonably excited about this upcoming change. 😂 Will be so much quicker and easier to find requests in all folders that still need Librarian attention.
Jaclyn,I spotted a forum post with a dead link that should probably be linking to the "How to request a book..." topic.

The "following these guidelines" link is broken.

-- Switch order of page count and format so it matches the actual form
-- Add Year/Month/Day to Publication Date because of confusion between different international date format standards. For example if someone lists 5/6/2023, is that May 6th or June 5th?
-- Add description for Format because people often misunderstand this
-- Group Language with the rest of the bullets instead of further down because people often miss this
Example of new post:
* Title:
* Author(s) name(s):
* ISBN (or ASIN):
* Publisher:
* Publication Date Year:
* Publication Date Month:
* Publication Date Day:
* Page count:
* Format (such as paperback, hardcover, ebook, audiobook, etc):
* Description:
* Language (for non-English books):
[include the rest of the information in rivka's original topic, unchanged]
Thanks for your consideration!
